...came through this amazing park on our bycicle-trip in THE summer of 2018 from Lappland to Switzerland...it was...beautiful...many hidden little roads next to the main-road...it's worth it to look for them...enjoy!. Nice cows, houses, apple-trees, streams and people!!! Deep woods too...
Probably the best place in the whole of France for long hikes, backpacking and trails: wild scenary, very few people, dead silence whilst close to "civilization" in case something goes wrong.
Always a good idea to go to the Vosges for a hike. Just a bit of the road we hiked for 2 hours without seeing any people. On a sunny and warm day it is perfect to spend some time on a hike. Always good to have a backpack with some snacks and water with you.
Great and wonderful Landscape...especially in Autumn...Many Nice historical Cathedral, etc.
Early September is maybe one of the best times to come hiking here.... summer time is almost over, so most tourists have left... and we were very fortunate wit regards to the weather. Physically.. it's quite accessible to all... all the paths are manageable as is the elevation gain. So... what you need to do.. pack a lunch, tie your shoes... and just enjoy the scenery. For those who enjoy outdoor easy outdoor hikes... this is must
Great access to forest walks and cycling and stunning views from the summit. Good parking are at the summit, stop for a break and watch paragliders or just enjoy the view!
A lot of hiking trails. Very clean. Good food.
Beautiful views, good signing, easy even for inexperienced walkers.
