We visited the chapel inside the convent and it is beautiful and very well kept. It is regularly open for Sunday worship and easy to get to and there’s free parking outside.|You can for a walk in the grounds and there is the hotel next door. |Situated next door to Gramat railway station.

Beautiful place to stay. Very peacefull

This is an excellent option for pilgrims or anyone looking for a good budget option. The room was simple but clean and the dinner offered on site was good. The grounds of the property are extensive and provide the opportunity for a pleasant evening stroll. There is not much of interest in the town of Gramat, however.

I am not a Christian and the review should be read in that context. This is NOT a hotel, it is a place where pilgrims and the like come to stay. We looked for a hotel, found this, thought it would be interesting to stay in what once was a convent, checked in, found out it still was a convent, got to the room, decided the place must be haunted by at least half a dozen ghosts, tried the restaurant, got scared and wanted to drop everything and run, went somewhere else for dinner, decided to stay the night, slept well enough despite hearing the man on the other side of the wall talking in the telephone and even hearing what the lady on the other end said, went to breakfast if you want to call it that, checked out and was happy to leave without having caught fire. The walls are paper thin and even despite having zero guests they gave us a room next to that of an employee or something. The building is massive! Surely we could have had a different room.. The bathroom and the restaurant smell the same and that smell is not good. It smells as it does in old hospitals. I have worked to one so I know. Several features about the building remind me of old hospitals. Has it once been one? The restaurant is not in any way cozy. The light is whiter then chalk! And very bright. As we turned around in the door we don't know what the food is like. If your not christian and not on a pilgrimage, this is probably not the place to stay. If you are however, I have no doubt this is the thing for you.

On a passé une seule nuit, le lieu est magnifique, tres beau, tres grand et l'intérieur du bâtiment à été reformé avec un joli ascenseur qui donne un côté moderne. Ça nous change d'un hôtel classique et les enfants ont fait un petit voyage dans le Temps. Seul petit bémol, l'eau de la douche était un peut froide, et on nous à laissé le papier toilette un peut juste pour une chambre familiale. Je recommande le site, si vous cherchez du calme et du charme.🙂

Réservé à la dernière minute, nous avons loué une chambre pour 2 personnes alors que nous sommes en train de faire le chemin de Compostelle par sa variante. Nous avons été très bien reçu par Sophie et un Monsieur. Bien que normalement nous n'aurons pas pu dîner, ils nous ont tout de même servi une assiette composée par le chef alors qu'il était sur une réception . L'endroit est très chouette avec une vie formidable sur le village et son église.

Le grand couvent est un site magnifique et reposant. Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil, une équipe aux petits soins : merci à tous ! Notre chambre double était très spacieuse, la literie est très confortable : nous avons passé deux nuits vraiment réparatrices. Nous avons dîner sur place les deux soirs : tous les plats sont excellents, Nous vous recommandons ce site calme et ressourçant les yeux fermés.
