I’m not sure what people see in this museum. Sure it has a few notable paintings. The Picasso. However the whole museum is kind of dark and dingy. The Picasso is weirdly displayed up high with no real focus. There is a kind of weird old Grandmother’s old bedroom smell in some of the rooms. Better options for Art museums in Town.

We went in this museum bc the big art museum that day was sadly closed! The ticket 8 euros I think it is too much for what you will see there. Not much famous paintings 🖼️ I would say it is ok museum if I did not see it I would not cry over it :)

Great little collection. It would have been nice if I could see the labels and the artworks themselves. Would have left immediately if I was not accompanying someone. To the curator, are you aware it possible to have modern quality LED lighting that is very low UV?

Musée Angladon is a true hidden gem in Avignon, offering an intimate and captivating journey through the world of art. Nestled in a charming historic building, the museum boasts an exceptional collection that spans several centuries, with works by some of the most celebrated artists in history. What makes this museum truly special is its impressive collection of masterpieces by renowned artists like Van Gogh, Degas, and Cézanne. Each piece is beautifully displayed, allowing visitors to appreciate the details and the emotional depth of the artworks. The museum's layout is thoughtful and inviting, guiding you through a rich tapestry of artistic styles and periods. The atmosphere at Musée Angladon is both tranquil and inspiring, providing a perfect setting to immerse yourself in the beauty of art. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, eager to share the stories behind the artworks and the history of the collection. The museum is small enough to explore comfortably in a couple of hours, yet it leaves a lasting impression with the quality and diversity of its exhibits. For anyone visiting Avignon, Musée Angladon is a must-see destination that offers a unique and enriching cultural experience. Highly recommended!

It’s a lovely old residence and worth the ticket just for the Modigliani, but if you’ve been to major museums in Europe or even secondary ones, the collection is somewhat underwhelming. Not my top pick in Avignon.

Formally the Hotel Massillon built in the 18th century, this museum contains a great collection of 18th to 20th century art. Works by Modigliani (The Pink Blouse), Sisley, Picasso, Dupuis, Van Gogh, Degas, Vernon, Cezzane and many others. Highly recommended

OK museum. The artwork they have is nice. I guess I expected more for the admission price. Great that this museum is wheelchair accessible. Bravo for that!!!

Enchanting museum, a little gem with a surprising collection. A real joy.
