We visited here last week for our evening meal , it was delicious the steak has to be 10/10 cooked to perfection . The pizza delicious and huge had to box it up and have for breakfast. One particular waitress was the best , so attentive at our table , nothing was a problem for her , even grabbed us some blankets when we had our dessert by the beach front . Oksana was her name and she deserves an award for doing her job to the top standard . Definitely be back when we visit Nice again .

Wow, what an experience! We were here during Bastille day, and this place had the best atmosphere out of all of the beach clubs in Nice. The food was great, the pizza was crispy and had a very nice looking undercarriage, the Negroni was strong and full of flavor. The DJ was playing really nice french tunes, and the crowd was dancing by the time it was nighttime.

Highly recommend. The food is only outdone by the atmosphere and incredible views. The fish and chips were solidly good with a large portion of delicious chips, and the cocktail I had was excellent. Enjoyed the relaxed aspect of dining with family on the beach.

The staff were very friendly & helpful. Have lovely blankets to keep you warm (it was wet & colder as October), and showers if you’re coming straight from the beach. Good it very good and fab selection of drinks! Fabulous way to spend an evening with a perfect view of the sea! We ate there for early supper & dinner we liked it so much

terrible customer service as English tourists. server was rude and dismissive and not happy when two out of seven people on the table asked for tap water instead of the 8€ soft drinks. food was fine but everything was incredibly expensive. cheapest item was a margarita pizza for 16€ which was way too salty and herby with too much cheese on that made it incredibly difficult to finish. server was much happier with other guests and only cheered up with us once we'd stacked the plates for him. the atmosphere and location was nice, right by the sea though we were sat basically inside. severs all struggled putting the umbrellas up for other guests and even hit people during. there was a dj playing gen z remixed tiktok music that didn't necessarily fit the vibe. toilets were weird and clearly an after thought. spare chairs and umbrellas just chucked into a corner clearly on display. wouldn't return or recommend unless maybe for a drink by the sea and under the shade.

Came here for dinner recently as a celebration and was, in all honesty, a little let down. Going into this place we had seen the menu so we were aware of the upmarket prices and so I would say had expectations in line with this. Most prices were around the €30 mark (starters and a few main options) but these do go up to towards €100 for other dishes and specials. I have read a lot of complaints about these prices but if that's what they want to charge and they think the ingredients are worth; it is displayed before you take a seat and is somewhat expected due to location. Saying this €8 for a soft drink is DOUBLE what we have found most places chrage for the same drink. I wouldn't say the food is bad by any means and I did quite enjoy the very cheesy margarita pizza (one of the 2 vegetarian dishes and probably the cheapest main meal option). My problem however is more within the details you would expect from an up market place like this one. To start the server seemed a little dismissive especially when not ever member of the table wanted to order a drink from the menu. We felt as if there was a contrast between the service offered to our table and that to those of who we presumed to be locals. This became apparent as our server asked the table next to us if their food was okay but not ours. I suppose this could be simply due to a language barrier or if it was something to do with the "type" of people they assumed us to be. Other small details I think this restaurant could work on include serving the bread with butter or oil (and at a minimum providing a small plate so we didn't cover the table in crumbs before the mains). As well as potentially revising the menu slightly as I felt the vegetation options were very minimal and boring. In summary; I felt as if this place charge more money than the overall experience is worth. Wonderful experience. My kids and I just arrived at our hotel in Nice after a very long trip and decided to walk along the beach. We stopped at La Vela for dinner. From the moment we entered to when we left, the service was impeccable. We ordered maki avocat (avocado sushi), a pizza marguerite, some tuna sashimi and an entrecôte with frites (filet of beef with fries). It was absolutely delicious and the music in the background (reggae, …) was so relaxing.
