We all know who is the most famous Corsican. Well he did conquered almost all of Europe. But here is the statue of most important peron for Corsica, Pascal Paoli a Corsican patriot and leader who played a key role in the island’s struggle for independence in the 18th century. And Corte was centre of this struggle.
Good city Centre. The statue of the officer Pascal Paoli.Filippo Antonio Pasquale di Paoli FRS was a Corsican patriot and leader, the president of the Executive Council of the General Diet of the People of Corsica. Paoli designed and wrote the Constitution of the state
A beautiful landmark, one of most respected man in Corsica. A good first landmark if you’re going to the Belvedere
Pretty cool statue for a pretty cool dude
Even though the nearby old city is a bit touristic, especially along the one main alleyway, this square made it look less of a tourist mass area. The square has several nice cafes surrounding it.
Nice town square with a statue of Pascal Paoli. Street to the statue has all kind of food service. Be aware of the working hours so you don't come to town hungry.
Very nice view over Corte and the citadel.
