Well worth the drive from grenoble and the 11 euro admission. Do both the chateau and garden!

Difficult to find, but worth persisting because the place & ambience is exceptional. Parking is up a road with trees and turn left through some stone gates to a tree lined gravel path.

The castle is nice but the owner isn't someone you want to give your business to. Freedom of enjoying nature, and especially mountains, has always been a fundamental right in France. The owner has been fighting this right for years and has unfortunately won and managed to get a big part of the Chartreuse Park closed to the public. Please don't give your money to this person, there are plenty of castle and monuments in the region deserving your business and support.

Small castle with a lovely garden at a reasonable price (5€) The inside is guided tour only (which is not to our taste) so we opted to view the gardens only. There is an orchard above the formal gardens and toilets. The roof has a special type of glazed tiles which really catch the sunlight.

I'm so happy to visited this place. They are nice!!

The place looks beautiful but the owner is a really unpleasant man, to be polite. He was very rude to us although we were just passing by and looked at the fish in front of the gates. No sign that it's closed and he yelled at us and and spoke in a very unpleasant way.

Huge beautiful lilac tree. Never seen better. Fountains and grounds were awesome. Had a great event hosted there, really memorable.

Superb place, truly amazing had to find the parking, but look for a private drive after a neat tree lined hill, and you will get there.
