Great situation. Excellent Mediterranean food, beautiful view on the faraway blue sea. Very enjoyable evening.

Very nice location and a nice atmosphere, but the service was extremely poor. We asked for our wine after waiting for 40 minutes. In a polite way. The waiter answered us in a passive-aggressive way «yes, it is here, do you see it, it will come». We also asked to order food, same passive-aggressive tone. They changed waiter and we got a very nice, young man who gave great service and took our dinner order. We were 12 persons, incl 6 children, but we were almost the first persons in the restaurant so it was not like we came as a surprise (we had also made reservation in advance). They forgot one dish for the children, it seems like they did not notice, we had to remind them. When it came, the other 5 children had finished their food. They forgot the red wine for the meat, we had to remind them. Since we had 6 children we asked to order dessert for the children when the adults got their main course. We tried for 40 minutes to order dessert, not one waiter met our attempts to order. To summarize, this could have been so good! But they fail in seeing the customer, failed in having control of their restaurant. We looked forward to a nice meal, in a nice location, but the service was so bad that we unfortunately left with a bad impression of the restaurant. We never got to order desserts for the children, we gave up and half of the party left and we gave the children ice cream at home.. We hope this critisism is read by the restaurant and that it will be acknowledged as major improvement opportunity.

Very bad experience the owner is extremely rude. We had booked a specific table. And when we arrived he had given it to other people and he said take the table on the corner or leave the restaurant. When we didn’t accept the table he gave us he kicked us out. And we had booked the table 3 days ago and he insisted on taking a deposit when we booked the table. That we did on the spot. He’s a very rude and arrogant person Please read everyone review on this restaurant you will see that the majority agree with me. That they are RUDE

The owner was very rude he canceled our table on propose after taking a deposit 3 days before. For that specific table. He refused to refund our money on the spot. And asked us to leave the restaurant

Love this restaurant… the terrace is amazing and the staff is very friendly! Really recommended when visiting Cannes

Arrived for lunch at approximately 12.30. We ordered Plat du Jour which was ok. We then ordered apple pie for 2 with (€24) and one coffee to be served with the dessert. The apple pie arrived after 25 minutes but no sign of the coffee that we asked for with the dessert. My 79 year old friend asked for the coffee again and still no coffee. At this stage he decided to cancel the coffee as it was now 40 minutes after the original order and we were told by a waiter to NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. Then the coffee arrived and we asked for the bill which included the coffee. Shocking service and no respect for elderly customers. I would not recommend anybody going here after my experience.

Superb location, excellent food! You really can’t get much better for escaping the hustle and bustle of busy Cannes, by making the trip up to L’atelier Joseph. Set in a tree-lined pedestrian street, cute shops up and down, you’ll feel transported to a quaint mountain side village.
