We loved the museum! It is worth visiting! The kids liked it a lot! The little book they need to complete helps a lot to keep their attention, although the mummies were enough to amaze them! A lot of info about greek and Egyptian writing as well!

Very informative. Don’t miss the garden either.

Well, it was mostly about the Champollion family and not much about the decypherment og heiroglyphics, which given the name of the place might be fair enough! Main criticism is that the info cards accompanying the exhibits were in a small typeface, and the English translations were minute, not helped by low light levels. Go prepared with a magnifyer and torch!

Pretty interesting. First floor was more about the family, while the 2nd and 3rd floor were more about his inspiration and work. This was his brother’s home.

Definitely worth visiting to understand the life and work of the man who decoded the Rosetta stone and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.
