Avis
Nice stop near to Roussillon and the Ochre écomusée. You can walk under it to see closely . Not much water, but interesting construction.
How can a 2000+ Roman made structure not be 5 stars??? This is a simple, and outstanding monument to the Romans. Used as a modern bridge until 2005 when someone finally wised up maybe it would be better to use a modern made bridge for vehicle traffic! The Pont Julien is impressive and beautiful!
Amazing place. Great architecture and history
Pont Julien is a well-preserved Roman bridge in Provence, built around 3 BCE as part of the Via Domitia, a major Roman road connecting Italy and Spain. The bridge's three arches showcase impressive Roman engineering. However, the river beneath it has dried up, which detracts from its scenic charm. Despite this, the bridge's historical significance and architectural beauty make it a worthwhile visit for history enthusiasts, even if the absence of water lessens its overall appeal.
Very cool bridge!! Lots of great bike and walking paths around here as well!
Beautiful Roman bridge, standing still and intact over the river
Great to see such an old bridge in such a well kept state. Worth a quick stop. The river bed is also worth admiring. (Assuming the river isn't flowing!)
Amazing - this ancient Roman bridge was built more than 2000 years ago - and is still intact.
