I was there during May. I enjoyed the park immensely. It was very lively and full of people. Very well kept. A lot of place to explore nature, run or ride a bike.
Massive park not too far from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Tree covered walking trails lead you to the lake that is just beautiful. There are many areas to sit and enjoy shade around the lake with grassy areas that can be used as a picnic area. We stumbled upon a small children's area with a few small mini houses that the kids can play in and climb. We didn't walk too far into the park, but didn't see public bathrooms on the trails we walked. We did pass a few water spigots on our walk.
This park is amazing, and really has it all. Great for running, going on a stroll, biking, walking your dog, they have a calisthenics park, several little kiosks to stop and have a drink, amazing for birdwatching. There are several kilometres of trails, you can spend all day here. Just a great place to disconnect from the city while still being right in Paris. You can come any time of the year and it is still beautiful.
The park is absolutely stunning. I got the impression that Parisian families all flock here on weekends for bike rides, running, and dog walking. It's massive and you could spend a full day exploring it. I plan to rent a bike and return here next time I visit Paris.
Great place to run, hike, bike, walk Everyone (elderly, family, kids..) will find what he's looking for. Great all seasons
This place is huge and there's so much to see. Old railtracks, the riverside, a theme park, a Louis Vutton building, as well as numerous open parks and bushland litter the whole area. It's great fun exploring around it for a few hours!
The Bois de Boulogne is truly a treasure of Paris. Just minutes from the city’s bustle, we step onto peaceful wooded paths, with lakes, gardens, wildlife, and open green spaces. We love the mix of nature, modernity and history, from hidden gardens and serene waterways created by Napoleon III, to Michelin restaurants and the former residence of the Duke of Windsor, all on the grounds where previous Summer Olympics were hosted, plus much more. What makes the Bois de Boulogne so special is the balance, as you feel far from the city, yet you’re still in the 16e. It’s an ideal place to recharge and enjoy the serenity of nature right at the city’s edge. A must-experience for anyone who might appreciate a green escape to what we read is considered the “Left Lung of Paris” due to the oxygen produced by the trees, in this area that is astonishingly twice the size of NYC’s Central Park!
Beautiful green space with lots of birding opportunities. Only downside is the amount of runners here. If you're trying to sit in peace and listen to nature, it can be a little difficult with the overwhelming number of runner's grunting and making contact with the trail
