There was a loud noise in the hallway. I informed front desk through a call button, but nobody came to fix it, and the next day, front desk seemed very not bothered by the fact that I barely got any sleep. Very disapppointed

A good hotel / b&b for an overnight stay. Rooms are okay and breakfast as well. Sadly the self checking required a second full payment (the stay was already payed in advance via booking) and customer service is basically none existing. Neither booking nor ibis is careing much. This is one of the worst if not the worst experiance ever.

We booked through hotels.com. We contacted hotel through email and app to inform them we would be late and that we needed instructions for after hours check-in. We arrived just past 11.30pm and could not check in with details from hotels.com. We rang the emergency contact person from reception who was utterly useless. She kept telling us she couldn't reach on duty manager and there was nothing she could do. At around 2am this guy came running in hotel dressed casually as if he was out for drinks and managed to give us room details at 2am. This was after more than 2 hours being given same message from this useless ibis emergency person that she couldn't reach manager. We couldn't book a room from their system as we would have done this and also we just wanted to crash after driving from UK. Clearly the manager was not doing their job and the ibis emergency person was not helpful at all. To be avoided!

I get it that this is a budget destination. We should expect no great spaces etc. However I have been to ibis budgets before and this was probably among the worst experiences I had. The bed is terrible, uncomfortable, with pretty bad sheets as well. But ok I can live with that. What I cannot live with though is find hair all around the bathroom including stuck into my (quite well worn out) bath towel. A hotel can be simple but the basics should always be there, comfort sleep, and basic higiene/clealiness. Cherry on the top was having been awakened by housekeeping at 09 am, after a long road drive the night before, being asked if we would stay longer, from which point I could not sleep anymore. To end on a positive note, the self-check in was easy and fast, and the free parking is spacious and good.

We booked two rooms for six people through Booking.com with the intention of paying at the property. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady at the front desk looked at our booking confirmation and asked if we had already paid online. We told her we had not. She then said we were not in the system, that our booking was cancelled, and that we couldn’t stay at the hotel — we should find another place. I work in a hotel myself and I understand how hotel operations work. Of course, every hotel is different, but can you really just send people away when they have a valid reservation and rooms are still available? After a long discussion, it turned out that the hotel had no internet, so they couldn’t access the booking system. But the receptionist didn’t try anything to help. She just wanted us to leave and go to another hotel. When I asked to speak with a manager, she handed me back the printed confirmation and told me to go, so she could check in other guests who arrived after us. That family was checked in without any problems, and she even calmly showed them to their room. When she came back, after more than an hour, she finally offered us one room for six people. The next day, a staff member came to tell us we had to change rooms. On that day, I had an important online exam, and we were also attending my sister’s wedding. It was very inconvenient. Why didn’t they give us the two rooms we originally booked right away? Why make everything so complicated for the guests? One of the rooms also had a broken door, and we had to move again, even though we were about to leave. Fortunately, the staff member on duty that day was very kind and offered to move our luggage to the new room himself. He did a great job, and we really appreciated his help. Unfortunately, the bad experience didn’t end there. My sister and brother-in-law had paid online for two rooms, and they also were not able to check in right away — they had to wait a long time. Extremely difficult to get in after 22.00!!!!!!!! Room very small. Hardly any room between foot end of bed and wall.

Ibis Budget Forbach is a solid budget choice. Easy access and secure parking make it a top choice for those driving. |All the staff I met were friendly and helpful, as well as efficient. Room was clean, well kitted out with everything one would expect in a much more expensive hotel.|Surroundings are not the most charming, but as a quick stop over this works well.|The photos of the interiors are accurate.|Breakfast was decent for the price.

We checked in at 20:00 and our room didn't have any towels. We asked the reception for towels and they told us we had to wait an hour for them (due to the computer not working) . We couldn't wait this long due to having travelled all day and needing to go for food. Due to this we had to use the bath mat to dry ourselves, what an embarrassment for us. We returned at 23:00 and asked for the second time for towels but they still didn't have any due to them being in the dryer. What a completely useless hotel, avoid if possible.
