LES RESIDENCES DE BEAULIEU

A 5 minute walk from the Charbonnieres-Les-Bains train station. Excellent location, easy to find and safe area, all important if you are a solo traveller like me. Staff friendly and helpful. You could hear a pin drop during the night. Room was adequate with what you need but i would have appreciated a mini manicure set that included a cotton wool pad for removing make-up as i forgot to pack mine. Would i return? Yes

We were very happy to find a reasonably priced hotel in such a lovely area and within easy walking distance to catch the train into Lyon. We also found the staff to be friendly and helpful, particularly the young man who checked us out when we left. The facilities need urgent updating though. It would be good to remove the ashtrays from the hallways as the smell of smoke is quite strong. The decor is dated and a bit tattered in places. Also the sink in our bathroom was blocked so it took a very long time for the water to drain away when we brushed our teeth.

Great place to stay. The hotel staff was very nice and provided great service.

We visited the restaurant whenever we're in town. The staff are friendly, the menu is extensive and the portions are large. Extra points for friendliness towards our dog! Great place to dine outdoors.

Staff aren’t rude nor friendly, they’re kind of neutral. Bed sheets smelt slightly of human odour and room had no air conditioning. Car park accommodates 5 vehicles so parking is limited during busier periods. Won’t be coming back. Breakfast is a joke, bread and butter and coffee for €11.

Very old facilities : pale light. Bedside lamp not functioning: spider web on the ceiling; toilet flush flooding all night long. Curtains lingering down to the floor Poorly caring staff Restaurant is acceptable but with less choices.

I have not stayed at the hôtel but tried the restaurant and it was a good experience! I stayed on the spécial of the Day and was not dissapointed at all. Appetizer (veal confit) maindish ( fish filet and veggies) and desert were All very decently prepared, tasted excellent and there was enough of everything.||||The New owners have Great plans to put This hotel/ restaurant really back on the map!||||Rooms are being refurbished as we speak.||||The terrace is a must whenzvet there is a spark of sunlight!!||||Warmly recommended and warm wishes of succes to the New team!

The hotel was just right for a quick stop. We were able to stay in this place due to a marriage invitation nearby. I may not know the room rate but the room itself was good enough. Though the heater wasn't that hot at night on a winter season. Staff were friendly though and accommodating. Visit the hotel and see for yourself! 😉
