Avis
Small but interesting museum. Small section of live fish. Modest entrance fee.
Museum is ok. The explanatory boards are only in french. You get a translation folder at the entrance, the German translation is poor (I didn't look in the English one). You see different aspects if the sea, from ships, to off-shire energy to pollution, but since all boards are only in french, it becomes a bit boring (specially for kids, that don't speak/understand the language).
Museum is quite small and is probably more interesting for kids. All information is in French, but you can take some printouts with English description. Please be aware that not all that you see on the photos is available in the museum. For example, there is no more aquarium.
Very interesting museum both for kids and adults! Congratulations!
Not exactly modern but interesting with interactive features. They think of children (lego, coloring sheets). There are no longer any living animals due to the change of legislation and budget constraints.
Great maritime museum but only part helped by English handbook. Need audio guide or better curating. Really interesting section on windfarm building and alternative sources of energy. Bang up to date. Aquarium needs update to signage.
One of the most generous museum of the sea i went to. It is not cheap but the people who work there are really implicated in transmission of knowledge. We saw the feeding of fish and the man explained to us what they eat and showed us how they eat. Recommend it highly especially in off season.
Well laid out, and some very informative video presentations. There is no longer an aquarium, but the tanks have been converted to displays.
