Nice place to walk, eat, and watch the world go by. I recommend catching a ferry what a cheap way to get on the water.
04/05/2026 - i gave this review as its a tourist trap for local ferry companies. Your sold it as a trip to toulon but you have to pay £10 per person (babies go free) for a 20 min boat ride im to a town where theres next to nothing. This port there is nothing and i'll not be visiting again. This was the only place on the cruise i wasn't interested in.
A very nice coastal city. Relatively clean and very presentable. Tourism activities are available for different types of tourists. Most locals we met here understood English so communication was easy.
Arrived and took the'noddy train ' to get to know the history and places of interest. Takes about 45 mins. Well worth the 10 euros. Wasn't until the last 10 mins that we realised we had been here before. The market was on and must be at least 1000 metres long. Good to see the vast variety and difference of fruit and vegetables compared to the supermarkets in the UK. A relaxing few hours before heading back. A clean city - no rubbish etc anywhere.
Amazing view from the port. Accessible for reseau Mistral Ferris routes M8 , M18 and M28. The only place where you can see the sea water level is next to your feet along the route. On the other side beautiful restaurants . The connection to Corsica and sardinia ferries are frequent.
Lovely port, shame it rained when our ship stopped there but still lovely
Nice cosy atmosphere and a lot of boats! Most impressive, is the amount of French people that speak English. And they look so proud, doing so!
Only there for a day off a cruise. A gorgeous place...attractive beaches and sea, and a pleasant centre near the old port. Like the blue land train too! The coastline is very scenic.
