So many good walks to do around here. Bit windy for us later in the afternoon. Watch out for the drop into La View des Alpes car park at the top though. Managed to scrape the bottom a bit.

A nice hike up from the car park (45-min circuit) with great views around. Worth the side trip to the memorial.

Take that bike and ride this mountain ⛰️. For those who are scared a bit too much by the alps, but are looking for a bit more challenge than say the Ardennes or the Eiffel, the Vosges are a nice compromise. And once here, then of course you have to aim for the highest peak. The Grand Ballon is a nice climb, that (as far as I recall it) doesn’t have extreme differences in it’s steepness. Everyone that takes their bike out every now and then should be able to make it till the 🔝 (where a restaurant awaits)

It's an easy place for lazy hiking :) Easy to access. Free parking, some hotels and restaurants nearby. Beautiful view's from above.

the highest peak of the Vosges Mountains, with picturesque passes, beautiful towns and great views. It is possible to enter from the car park in 20 minutes. Restaurants and hotel on the trail.

Nice but short walk up to the viewing point. Two restaurants at the bottom with a little shop.
