5.0 Kiwidan in Paris

A true hidden gem less than an hour from central Paris. A place of serenity with the Seine as the backdrop in leafy Chatou near where impressionists painted. The museum itself in a tastefully converted three story well-to-do maison. Walking through is a journey into the realm of Sufism old and new. Much influence by great Iranian culture, traditions and craft work. Staff welcoming. Nine euros entry.

I visited the museum afew times in diffrent seasons. MACS MTO is the first and only Sùfi Museum in the wrold. Its a dynamic museum. There were new items and themes, everytime we visited the museum. What distangushes MACS MTO from other museums is its ancient unique sufi items and artworks, contenporary artworks created by famous artists with spritual concepts, and its serene atmosphere. Every corner of the building, the walls, the art works, the garden, the fountain even the garden plants have its mystical unique story hidden inside. For this reason it is quite necessary plan to visit the museum with a museum guide. The guides are professional, knowledgeable and patient. There are variety of tours for diffrent subjects. Museum allways have versatile rich workshops . Workshops are very informative. If you want to get the workshops, I recommend reserve them inadvance. Even in the middle of February, and rainy days, we could enjoy the museum's garden, the soothing sound of water and singing birds. Its very convenient that the MACS MTO has provided coffee and tea inside the gift shop. We got coffee and sat inside the clear warm clear igloos and enjoyed the beautiful garden. If you are a vistor in Paris or a resident, I recommend vist the museum, and participate in its Tamarkoz and other workshops. Its a rich, different, rewarding, and unforgettable experience.

This was my 2nd visit to this museum and I simply loved "the mirror" work on the third floor. I could see the love , devotion and hard work put into every part of this experience. I like to express my gratitude and appreciation to everyone associated with this museum. Thank you.

To witness the range and diversity of Sufism is truly a gift. The museum beautifully encompasses the universal nature of love and unity. Despite language and culture, all can be seen through one lense. If you have a spare few hours in Paris, you won't go wrong with a visit to the Musée d'Art et de Culture Soufis. The museum will provoke thought and breathe into you serenity.

An absolutely amazing museum filled with extraordinary pieces. It has a very interactive nature, from the hologram lecture from a Great Sufi Professor to the beautiful artworks. If you can, you should definitely make a visit.

This museum is so unique in many ways. The construction was based on sustainability, the acoustics, the gardens, the fountain, all add to beauty and tranquility of the place. The exhibits are unique and well worth a visit. I traveled from Canada to see this museum and I highly recommend it.

I'd never heard about Sufism before. My friend and I went to the museum by pure chance. It was a relaxed and insightful experience. The exhibition is spectacular and deserves time, regardless of its religious connotations. It seems that the fountain in the garden has a sculpture inside. However, it is not visible because the windows inside the museum are shuttered. This protects the works of art, but a small opening could've been provided.

I would recommend this truly one-of-a-kind experience to anyone. The building itself is a beautifully preserved and renovated piece of architectural history, full of character and elegance. For me, though, the real magic was in the garden—lush plants, medicinal herbs, and a constant symphony of birds that made it feel like stepping into another world. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and invite you to slow down and appreciate the small details that inspire awe. I also highly recommend the workshops; there is always some new skill/knowledge you'll walk away with. The staff is warm and helpful, and nearly everyone speaks English, which makes the visit even more welcoming. The Musee is easily accessible by train or car, I personally prefer the train because of the beautiful scenery along the way --- and what better way to arrive to the ONLY LEAD certified museum in France than by a sustainable method of transportation???
