What makes this place really special is that it’s run and managed by Jérôme himself, who also cooks everything on the menu- the food is absolutely delicious - authentic, traditional French cuisine! The atmosphere is just as impressive. Jérôme has an incredible sense of style, and every detail in the restaurant is thoughtfully curated by him. What made the experience unforgettable, though, was Jérôme himself. He is a truly warm and attentive host who clearly takes pride in making sure his guests feel welcome and looked after. At the end of our meal, he even gifted me a piece of his homemade savoury cake (“cake salé”), which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. I left feeling genuinely impressed and grateful for the experience. This is more than just a place to eat - it’s a place to connect, enjoy, and appreciate real passion for food and hospitality. Thank you , Jérôme! We are definitely coming back :)

This was the best meal I've had in France!!! The owner was unbelievable. He not only serves, cooks but also entertains his guests. His server was also amazing. Helped me pair my lunch with a drink and with flair. The cheese bread that was brought out before my meal was perfect. It was light, airy and moist. The salmon was my main. Cooked to perfection. The rustic baked baby potatoes and puree of cauliflower, cabbage and celery paired beautifully. For dessert I had the flan... I dont even know how he could could be so talented. At first I thought the crust was too thick but I was wrong. As a pastry chef myself I couldn't have anticipated the absolute perfection of my meal. He's a Picasso for your palate. Bravo monsieur. Can not recommend this restaurant enough!!! Also Kayla was a Superb hostess❤️

We stumbled upon La Fontaine in Reims, and it turned out to be the highlight of our culinary trip. The owner is hands-on, cooking every dish himself, with a dedication to using fresh, seasonal ingredients. He offers a couple of options based on what he’s prepared that day, which gives the menu a wonderfully personal and spontaneous touch. While we had been to Paris, La Fontaine easily served the best meal we’ve had in France. It tasted like real French home cooking. And the desserts were incredible! We had the flan and a grape cheesecake—both were hands down the best desserts we’ve ever tasted. An absolute must-visit!

The experience here is like eating at a friend's house. Traditional French cuisine, very nice service. The whole restaurant seems to be run by a single person from the kitchen to the service. They don't have a menu, but instead you get the choice between any of the three starters, three dishes and two desserts or a cheese platter they have prepared for the day. Don't come here if you are in a rush, but if you have time. You will not regret it.

Perfect French restaurant with simple but delicious food, tastefully decorated interior and very agreeable service. Loved all the Champagnes by the glass. A bit outside the center but really worthy of the detour.

We had the most lovely lunch here last week! Best advice, make a reservation, this place is desirable and folks were turned away as it was a full house. The owner is the cook, the server, the busboy .. the entire show. The food was delicious, the owner was charming ( especially with my lack of the French language) and could not have asked for a better meal while in Reims ! Sorry, no photos, but we had the chicken and fruit tarts. Yummmm.

This is a one man show. He takes orders, cooks, picks up the phone and has time to laugh and talk to the guests. It is amazing! The food was simple (small, but perfect menu), very French, very delicious. I would recommend reserving a table, since there are not many. If you speak German, it will be an extra nice experience.
