Avis
Lovely old house full of character, with nice gardens front and rear. Very nice friendly hostess called Fabienne has style and taste and is an excellent cook. Dinge is not very near to anything, sadly, though Combourg and its castle are a few miles north. Good sized room overlooking the garden. No carpet. A better table for my laptop wopuld have been appreciated. Quiet house, comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast.
We recently stayed 4 nights in Le Clos des Anges, which was perfectly located for our 4 day visit to Brittany. In over 20 years of travelling in Europe, this was right at the top of our list of favourite B&Bs. The heart and soul of Le Clos des Anges is the owner, hostess and resident angel of the property, Fabienne. Before we even arrived, from the very first email in February, all we felt was warmth from Fabienne who even promised to “order good weather” for our stay in Brittany! True to her word, we were greeted with sunny days and blue skies throughout our stay. You see, Fabienne will go to great lengths to ensure the comfort and happiness of her guests! When we arrived at the house and parked in the convenient and ample parking area right outside her front door, Fabienne was there to greet us with a warm smile and a big hug. The house was immaculate, yet cosy - full of old world charm. We stayed in the Roupillon Room which was lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and a good shower with hot water and strong water pressure. The WiFi worked well too. Every morning Fabienne would ask “Did you sleep well?” And she wasn’t just asking to be polite. She genuinely wanted to know if we had slept well and that everything was up to our expectations. All we can say is that we have high expectations and Fabienne exceeded each and every one of them. Her breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Even simple scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection and garnished with herbs from her garden. Her desserts were mind blowing. The much vaunted lime cake and her “financiers” (like cupcakes but so much better) were some of the best cakes we have ever tasted. She also gave us a great recommendation for a rustic restaurant called La Petite Porte in Hédé which is not far from Le Clos des Anges. Honestly, we could go on and on but nothing will do justice to the hospitality and warmth that we received from the lovely angel of Dingé. The only regrets we have are (i) not staying long
Gorgeous home based in a tranquil village with sights not too far away. Fabienne, the proprietress, went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.
It was a pleasure to stay 3 nights in a beautiful house of Fabienne! She is very warm welcoming, ready to help and give advices for the spots to visit.|• The location is top: close to the most visited touristic spots of the region, but located in small, calm and charming village at the same time. |• A room is with garden view, comfortable bed, big shower and separate WC, all are sparkling clean.|• The house is designed with high quality materials and decorated with taste.|• There are two beautiful gardens on the back and in front of the house with tables & chairs.|• Breakfast prepared by Fabienne is just amazing. You will find everything you need for the good start of the day.
5 stars do not do justice to this really lovely place. The hostess Fabienne will do anything to make his stay as comfortable as can be. The rooms are so well decorated it seems an art. The breakfast is the best I ever had in my life. Everything is with such a personal touch it's unbelievable. ||Mont saint Michel is nearby, combourgh is a nice medieval city. And also Rennes is nearby.
Second visit to Clos des Anges and just as good as the first. Stayed for four nights and in "Apricot" room, the same as last time, excellent again, comfy bed with views out over back garden, nice bathroom with large shower and separate toilet, still very quiet and whole atmosphere very relaxed. Fabienne the perfect B&B host, friendly, welcoming and always ready to talk and offer help if needed, breakfasts superb with all homemade products and different daily with treats each day, nothing was too much trouble for Fabienne even bringing us drinks and sweets when we were in garden one afternoon and spending a pleasant time telling us of history of Clos des Anges. Internet connection was fine in room with no problems, once again a brilliant time with Fabienne and left feeling part of her family and relaxed totally even if carrying a few extra kilos from her first rate breakfasts which would pass for brunch in many places. We shall return again if only to pass some times with the perfect hostess,Fabienne.
We had a great stay at Clos des Anges. it was the best surprise of our holidays in France. Of course, Bretagne became my N1 destination in France with its amazing beaches, salted butter and seafood but the whole experience was enhanced thanks to the warm welcome of Fabienne in her B&B. After travelling around for 2 weeks, it felt like coming home. The house was tastefully decorated, the room cosy, the bed extremely comfortable & the breakfast was just amazing : fresh fruits from the garden, every day a new cake (the lemon one is to die for), great bread with butter coming directly from the farmer close by... I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get disconnected and enjoy the fresh air of Bretagne. Moreover, her love & passion for the region is really heartwarming and will make it hard to go back home.
Dinge is very small town about an hour away from Saint Malo and Mont Saint Michel. When we arrived the B&B in the first evening, Fabienne, our host, already gave us a very warm welcome. She is very friendly, chatty and speaks very good English. The whole house was decorated with care and style. Our room was lovely, cosy and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. ||||The following day we had more surprises with the breakfast - gingerbread, milk rice, jams, fruit salad, apple juice out of the apples from the garden. Everything was made by herself except bread and butter. We stayed there for there for 3 days and the homemade breakfast was different every day.||||There was no water boiler in the room but we asked for hot water/tea and she prepared for us.||For some reason there was no Internet connection in the room but we were welcome to sit in the kitchen to surf a bit.||||We are very lucky to find this place and would love to come back one day.
