Lovely (Top) evening at the Red Lion Desertines. Top music, Top food from Top Kebab and Susan and Phillip Top Hosts as always. Very enjoyable evening sitting outside in lovely weather.

Great hosts, food, atmosphere and service, delicious chicken curry.

I only drank Paulaner beer, and it was magnificent! Original, fresh, light—the perfect choice for relaxing and indulging in a bit of dreaming.

Great dinner tonight. Starting again under a new team. Had the ham and mushroom pizza. Generous topping. Very accommodating to extra wishes.

Wonderful food, super bar staff! Highly recommend. Absolutely will be visiting this pub again.

Fabulous English breakfast with superb quality ingredients from Elliotts Boucherie (English butcher in Gorron) Not normally an English pub /food seeker, but my goodness I will be back very soon(already booked for Sunday lunch) hope the Sunday roast is as amazing as the breakfast! Julia and Nigel great hosts and chefs.

Saturday night visit in August to a very British feeling French pub. Lovely folk and surroundings however the service wasn't brilliant unfortunately despite being very friendly and the food was nothing short of average. What stood out were the amount of flies in the place that really did cause an annoyance along with constant power cuts being had through out the evening. Hopefully these issues can be addressed and then things will be on the up. Really hope they do as it's a great little place. Oh free pool which the kids loved!

Haven't been to the pub for a good while/years..(thanks to Covid/job commitments etc). Friendly staff made me feel welcome. I didn't eat, just had 2 pints of French cidre which didn't cost the earth, unlike the pint of Guinness, which would have been my preference..! An enjoyable couple of hours sitting outside, reading my newspaper.
