I'm staying at one of the rooms (#1) and it is incredibly beautiful. Such a spacious room and with the best furniture. I love it so much! The gardens are gorgeous! I was lucky to visit the Maison Jean Prouvé and saw the original furniture and interiors as well. Everything is really nice.
Visiting Fondation CAB was a highlight of our trip to St-Paul-de-Vence. Not only does it house the most sophisticated contemporary art and design collections in the city, but Mathilde’s tour and overview of the current exhibition elevated the whole experience and offered deeper insight and context for the work on view . This is a must-visit for true contemporary art lovers.
I had a marvellous time at the Fondation. It is truly a unique place: rooms are cozy, staff is really helpful and kind, the views are stunning and also the art surrounding the whole complex is exquisite! I highly recommend this place
We have spent 4 wonderful days as guests at Fondation CAB. It is a new addition to the art foundations near by. It is housed in a beautiful 50’s building restored by Charles Zana, housing a small collection of minimal and conceptual art. It also has 4 very unique guest rooms, one being a small house by Jean Prouve. We had The One room and it was large, appointed with mid century furnishings and decor, a huge tub, Le Corbusier cabinet etc. as well as a huge private terrace. Fondation CABis located adjacent to Foundation Maeght. ||It also has an attached restaurant Sol, named for Sol Lewitt with one if his sculptures on the wall. It is delightful in every way, beautifully designed and run by Jon who is chef and so much more. Delicious, fresh food, mostly served on the lovely patio. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on most days. We ate there as much as possible and Jon was extremely helpful to us in so many ways. ||There are a few drawbacks with the hospitality end of things, such as parking and exact directions and i would have appreciated knowing that all our luggage needed to be taken up and down quite a few outside stairs, but these are things that I believe, they will refine.||Or you are interested in a beautiful setting, art, design and terrific food, I highly recommend.
A great minimalist art museum. Very well curated shows. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Bravo.
Not my favorite art exhibits but it was cool to learn about the CAB foundation and the houses they have. Can’t wait to explore more! The restaurant has a nice patio if you’re looking for a quiet place to have a bite away from the craziness of the village.
The rooms are beautiful! You should stay there if you love design and designer furniture. The service is however almost non-existent, so don’t expect an hotel or B&B human touch. You get in by yourself with a code and that’s it.
Absolutely perfect! Fondation CAB is one of my favorite places in the South of France. Here, you have the chance to sleep surrounded by masterpieces of 20th-century and contemporary design and art, wake up with a lovely coffee, and head straight to the exhibitions organized by the Foundation—which are always a wonderful discovery, even for those in the field. My heartfelt thanks to the entire staff for the warm welcome they give us every single time! Bisous
