We really enjoyed this family - owned restaurant with home made, delicious food! A lot of attention on the ingredients and that is obvious in the flavors. I totally loved the infusion tea made of herbs from their own garden. Everything was delicious! We will return soon and we will highly recommend it!

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The customer service was impeccable. I’d definitely return.

Came here with friends, first time visiting Lyon not only was the food great, fresh, homemade (quick thank you to the mama and papa cooking) The portions were very generous, had to rethink my decision for taking a starter but too good to stop. The waitresses were Extremely friendly, and gave me the “must got to places” to visit. Limited options but the variety is far beyond than other restaurants where the options are limitless but all taste the same! Speak English as good as their French so definitely very homey vibe. Definitely coming back ! Thank you to the Team at Amessiame !

We had dinner there this evening and it was fantastic. The food was amazing and the ladies running the place were very welcoming. I also liked the authentic decorations. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend this place!

My friend and I visited recently and it was a wonderful experience! Great ambiance, fun music and welcoming service! The restaurant owners are so kind and willing to talk- they even gave my friend and I recommendations for this years Fête de la Musique! Overall, a wonderful experience in Vieux Lyon if you are looking for a good meal and/or a taste of Africa!

Greatly enjoyed the "planche decouverte." The "sauce gombo" was superb--brought us back to similar sauces we had in West Africa. The "poulet yassa" was also excellent. Service was very friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to try it out!

Very good food, great service, and nice atmosphere

The women at Amessiame were delightful and so accomodating. We are vegetarians and they prepared a special plate for us, which was delicious.
