DA SILVA NORONHA JORGE

I can honestly tell you that the best meal I ever had was at Xica da Silva. My girlfriend and i were visiting Fernando de Noronha and a local cab driver told us it was his favorite restaurant. We tried it and loved it so much we came 5 times in total. The best meal of my life? The seafood + toast appetizer + the Picanhas Argentinas + the Cream-filled chocolate cake with ice cream. We tried a lot of things on their menu; not a single miss. It was all spectacular. But that was the best meal of my life, no contest. How this place doesn’t have Michelin Stars is one of the World’s mysteries.

Great food, consistent the two times we went there. As with many restaurants in the island, some options were not available as everything is flown from mainland, but the servers give great recommendations of alternative dishes (or prepare the dish in an alternative way, say replacing the local small crab/ siri with fish)

Came back twice after trying a number of restaurants. The seating and atmosphere is definitely one of the most modern/new on the island. The bobo de camarao is great and so is the house hot sauce. Highly recommend the frozen pineapple juice without sugar. Staff is super friendly and speaks plenty English. Go early as a line does form

The food and service were good, and the place was quite packed! Only downside is that there were small flies everywhere inside the restaurant (attracted by light) and they bothered us throughout the night so we left as soon as we could (so did people at neighbouring tables). Those sitting on the patio seemed more comfortable. A pity as this is a nice restaurant!

Outstanding food, pleasant environment, agile waiters, really worth stopping by. Many vegetarian options.

The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. Get here around 7 if you don’t want to wait long for a table. I highly recommend the peixe mestico. The fish is super juicy and full of flavour, seasoned well. The portions are generous. I highly recommend a visit.

Decent food, nothing special. Enjoyed the food and service. No new flavours or dishes that excited me.

Pricy, but this is Noronha, so that is what you ‘should’ expect as it is also expensive to get things to the island. We really enjoyed our moqueca, that easily serves 3 people if you ask for a couple of starters! Enjoy your meal and low expectations on the service, but very good overall
