Good but could be better with a few simple changes. We stayed as a group for 5 nights, 4 adults, 3 children and had lots of fun but a few easy changes could make the place even better. Pros: 1) Activities were great fun and lots of group things to get involved with, we played football, paddle ball, volley ball and basket ball. 2) Animation team were good and always very friendly. 3) Food from the restaurant was very good and staff always very helpful. 4) Evening entertainment was fab, pool party and foam party were real highlights. Cons: 1) Accommodation looks worn and tired, it was clean but could do with a refurb. 2) Sheets are not provided. The beds have matress and pillow protectors but no actual sheets, we ended up getting sheets and towels from reception at an eye-watering cost of 126 euro for 4 people!!!! 3) The pool is very cold during the day, it was heated during the evening pool party, but didn't seem to be during the day. It put us off swimming as so cold. 4) The pool table, air hockey machine and other 'bar games' are so expensive! 2euro for a game of pool and a 3 minute game of air hockey. It would make more sense to make the games cheap, this would encourage people to the bar and would surely increase food and drink sales. 5) Maintenance isn't great, we reported that the sun canopy outside our caravan had broken the first night and it still hadn't been fixed by the time we left. Both the kids' trampoline was also close for the majority of our stay which was very disappointing. 6) The public toilets were always locked and there was no soap to wash hands. This wasn't so much of a problem during our stay but on our last day we had to be out our cabins by 10am and there was only one toilet open that we could use. Overall we had fun, kids enjoyed themselves but not sure I would return.
we have just returned from our first family holiday with euro camp and have had the most wonderful time.||||we chose Mas des lavandes due to its perfect location..20 minutes drive from airport, short drive/walk from large supermarkets and short drive/walk from the lovely town of valras plague with its gorgeous beach, lots of souvenier shops and plenty of places to eat.||||we stayed in the aspect which absolutely made our holiday. it was spacious, lots of storeage, modern and clean. the air conditioning was brilliant, we spent a long part of the day inside with our children as it was just so hot so the coolness and comfy accomodation was just what we needed. the patio area had a gas bbq and lovely sun loungers. the dishwasher was also a blessing!!||||our hosts janet and paul were kind, friendly, flexible and accomodating. their reception has books, games and beach toys for guests to use throughout their stay. ||||all staff around the pool, bar etc were very friendly. the entertainment schedule was varied and well attended although we spent evenings at home.. except when the football was on (!)||||our kids loved the pool.. there are lots of different areas which kept them interested.. its possible for grown ups to keep an eye on kids from the jaccuzi pool!! lots of loungers and chairs. very reasurring to see constant staff on site at the pool, keeping everyone safe.||||we would not hesitate to reccomend las des lavandes and are already planning a return trip next summer!||||thanks eruocamp!
Booked via Eurocamp and went with a friend and our 11 year old sons. We stayed in the standard Esprit 3 bedroom cabin. ||The cabin was clean, in good condition and appointed as you’d expect. The Eurocamp cabins are at the back left of the park from the entrance. It’s a 5 minutes walk to the pool and shop/cafe. ||The pool area is one of the better pools I’ve found on Eurocamp holidays with the water being kept at a good temperature. The play park which on the website looks appealing was a bit basic for our 11 year old boys. ||The shop is expensive and very basic. There’s a Carrefour 2 minutes drive away. The cafe pizza’s were tasty. There’s also burgers, paella, steak etc. You can order a roast chicken but they need notice.||The park staff are really friendly and helpful however speak little English so bring your phrase book!||Valras Plage is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive with adequate parking down there. There’s also a bus stop just opposite the park.||In the local area there’s not a huge amount to do unless you’re into beach stuff. Narbonne is about 30 minutes and Carcassonne about an hour drive. Check Sète water jousting dates as this is well worth a trip if it’s on during your visit.||All in all a good park but feels a bit distant and unconnected to the amazing sights and culture of the Languedoc region.
Just returned from a 2 week break. I booked directly and there were some issues. I asked for a quiet pitch, and got told this wouldn't be a problem, but on arrival we got probably the noisiest one - overlooking the laundry/toilets and next to the entertainment area - which meant loud music until midnight most days. Our flight was an evening one and this meant we got the pitch no one else wanted - despite having booked in December and requesting a quiet one. Fine if you like 3 hours of Zumba/electro/cabaret nightly from 9pm but not great if you have small children and aren't a fan of this type of entertainment. |I also paid €30 for sheets which turned out to be paper/plastic disposable ones and couldn't get a refund on the unopened ones. Our premium caravan had no air con which meant it was unbearably hot most days and we had to buy a fan, as well as sheets that we didn't stick to! The campsite is positioned next to a busy road, on a roundabout where 6 roads converge, which again is not ideal. Valras-Plage and the resorts around are quite downmarket. |The plus points are that the staff are friendly and enthusiastic, the campsite is very well maintained and the new pool is nice. Inland the region is beautiful.
Firstly can i point out that I have stayed in many campsites and this is the cleanest ||We stayed with euro camp for 21 nights in June 2018. Easy check in the lovely reps from euro camp showed us our van ||The reps are a lovely couple very helpful all the way through our stay ||You cannot park outside van but they have carts you can wheel your items to the van|It’s one euro . You get back when you take it back ||The caravan was spotless huge decking area. Table chairs and sun loungers . Half the decking shaded.|Two patio doors open on to the patio|Very pleased |Slight issue which didn’t bother us but may others, the van are close together ||The sight itself is spotless. It is a small site lots of residential. Friendly very French ||The pool area is a treat. The cleanest pool I ever been in. It has a lazy river style around outside. A swimming area in middle. Jacuzzis, water jets and slides|Lovely kids section|Loads of shaded areas |I never had an issue getting a sunlounger|There’s is ample||The restaurant on site we used quite a bit. The lady is lovely tries to make you feel welcome |The food is french but let’s face it you are in France|It does burger pizza but it also does lots of French dishes|My husband loved the food||It’s lovely to sit outside eat or just drink ||The shop I will be honest I didn’t use. You go out of the site turn left and all the big supermarkets are there ||To get to the centre of Valras-Plage you have to cross a roundabout and walk about a mile. I use a mobility scooter and please be warned no drop down kerbs etc . It is hard work |This however has obviously nothing to do with the site ||We are the type of family who make our own entertainment, we make friends and relax. If you are looking for a action packed full entertainment program |With activity for you night and day this is not for you ||This site is pure relaxation ||I noted some reviews mentioned the roundabout . We stayed three weeks and it didn’t bother us at all ||Highly recommend
The cabin was clean and well positioned. You can only swim when you wear a Speedo like swimshort. My son got removed from the pool for wearing a normal short. Restaurant is the worst I ever met. No attention for customers and waiting time for a drink on average on an evening is 15-20 min. Staff on reception is super friendly and speaks also English.
Stayed for three weeks in June 2018 We travel all around Europe this was by far the cleanest site we have ever stayed. The area around the caravan is spotless. We stayed with euro camp the caravan was a high standard The euro camp reps were so friendly The pool area is fantastic, plenty of shaded area. We never had a problem getting a sunlounger and it was the cleanest pool ever been in. The restaurant bar area we used a lot. It has great food and the owners were lovely I would go back tomorrow Loved it
Well not quite sure what to say about this campsite...apart from it lacks in holiday spirit and holiday atmosphere... ||||The staff are brilliant don't get me wrong, very friendly and happy and very helpful and also bilingual too. We stayed with Roan and the staff were amazing again very friendly and very happy and always up for a chat. We stayed on the new part of the park so not much vegetation but that will come with time which isn't a problem. ||The park it's self is alright the older side of the park is green and shady and has a few parks for the kids to play on. ||The pool isn't too bad, could be better but again the site is under progress/development again so shade will soon be available there currently isn't any but there is a nice breeze that flows around the area too, it's just a shame you can sometimes hear the Public Services wizzing down the main road next to it and cars as well. ||This site is also about 15 minute walk away from the beach which is at Valras- Pladge, Great little seaside town if you have young children who want to do their holiday gift shopping. Also market there twice a week too this does get very busy! Never seen so many people in one area! ||Plenty of Aircraft fly over the area so it's great if you love aircraft but not so great if you don't. ||||The cons of this site is- ||The shop is very expensive but here is a huge supermarket about 10 mins away by car. ||The lack of entertainment wasn't great either. And when there was entertainment it was only in French which was annoying because we couldn't understand what was going on or being said. (I can only translate some French but this was a lot I couldn't) So would be better if it was Bilingual. ||The pool does get very busy and the pool does get very crowded and your practically swimming on top of each other which isn't great. ||The newer part of the park is very dusty but again this will change with time and they do wet it as well and like wise with vegetation too. ||The site is next
