The visit is 100% worth. I’m sure this must not be an every day issue but when we arrived we bought the tickets to go up on the train to see the glaciers. It’s all a very good deal too! We were told it take 30 minutes to wait for the next train and kept being pushed 30 minutes every time we finished the original 30. Soon 30 minutes turned into almost 1 hour 30. My only frustration was the lack of information to why there was a delay. However the staff were really above and beyond in sorting us out. The glacier normally closes early but because of the long unexpected delays they kept the glaciers open for those already with tickets. The glacier is amazing and beautiful views too. Also it’s very cold inside to be prepped with jackets. 100% worth visiting!

One of the best experiences. I don’t how to explain my feelings about this visit. You have two type of way to go up to the Mont-Blanc with beautiful train ride. If you want only a visit to see the Mont-Blanc then you will spend like 31€ and if you want to have a full visit include the Mer De Glace (the Glacier) you will spend like 41€ and it’s worth to spend 10€ more to have the glacier experience that you will remember forever. I felt so sad it’s melting so fast. Be kind to the nature and protect our planet.

Great Ski Resort This is an epic and world famous resort. The Mont-Blanc Natural resort is amazing to see and wandering around here is great. The slopes cater to all level of skiers and this resort is one of the best in the world in terms of equipment and amenities. Strongly recommended by us!

Very disappointing experience with the Mont Blanc Unlimited pass during the February 2026 ski holidays. I fully understand that avalanche risk and severe weather can require closures. That was not the main issue. The problem was the overall handling of the situation. The “Unlimited” premium pass turned out to provide very poor practical value: – heavily reduced opening hours (sometimes only ~10:00–13:30), – extreme overcrowding in the few open areas, – late, inconsistent or sometimes misleading live information, – alternatives that were theoretically available but often not realistically accessible by public transport. Particularly frustrating: on several closure days, cheaper “Le Pass” customers were redirected into areas that were effectively among the few remaining worthwhile options for Unlimited pass holders, leading to massive overcrowding and significantly reducing the value of the premium product. At the same time, Le Pass customers were offered refunds / discounts on closure days, while Unlimited pass holders did not receive equivalent treatment despite paying substantially more. Operational decisions and closures also often changed during the day with little or no advance communication, making meaningful planning almost impossible, or even abrupt closing in the middle of the day without announcement. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against booking in advance, especially during potentially unstable weather periods. Generally best to avoid this region in case of unstable weather periods. Staff on site were generally trying their best under difficult circumstances; the main issue was the overall operational management and customer communication. Customer service mostly responded with generic template answers and initially even included incorrect information that later had to be corrected. Most disappointing: even after being explicitly advised by staff not to use the pass on one day and to request compensation instead, no meaningful c

Extremely disappointing customer service and a frustrating experience from start to finish. While we were in Chamonix, we were advised both at the ski pass kiosk and again at their offices that we would be eligible for a refund. We were specifically instructed to email our details and were told that a refund would be processed once the necessary information had been received. Based on this advice, we printed the ski pass we were attempting to return, as we were told we would need to send a photograph of it by email as part of the refund request. We then spent considerable time going back and forth via email, providing additional information and documentation whenever requested. Despite following every instruction given to us, we were eventually contacted by phone after returning to the UK and informed that we should not expect any refund to be issued!

WOW! It is currently sweltering in most of France, so a visit to an ice cave seemed like a good idea. It turned out to be amazing!!!! The train ride was very pleasant and picturesque. The station facility, with restaurant and shop, was quite nice. And the grotto! I don't think I stopped grinning from the moment I entered it. It is not only an amazing structure, with multiple passageways, but it also features many informative signs explaining its history and features (in French and English). I cannot recommend it highly enough. And, as part of the one-day pass with the Téléphérique Aiguille du Midi, it is real bargain!

The train ride was fun and beautiful. Definitely worth it to see the glacier before it disappears further. The ice cave was phenomenal and educational. Very enjoyable experience. We did Aiguille du Midi early the next morning. With a snow storm going the opening of the cable car was delayed, which was understandable as safety is always the top priority. However we found the communication to be a bit lacking. Things seemed very chaotic. The group numbers and waiting times on the display board weren't reliable, and we tended to rely on the word of mouth around the groups. (As in which group had gone in and which was next.) There was no announcements on any loudspeaker and when it was our turn we weren't even notified and had to ask the staff at the entrance to find out. We managed to get up to Aiguille du Midi but then found that Step into the Void was closed. The snow covered mountain was beautiful though and the staff kindly directed where we could step out to take photos. It turned out to be both amazing and disappointing. Weather can't be controlled but communication could be improved. If you plan to go up to Step into the Void, be prepared to be disappointed if luck doesn't come your way. Advisable to plan the two activities on separate days.

Incredible train ride! When going up site on the left side and when going down sit on the right side for the best views. And always sit at the back of the train, depending on the direction of travel. Amazing views We got lucky with the snow
