Bad experience at ULVF Le Domaine de l'Olivaie Our stay was very disappointing. • The rooms were way too hot and for a simple fan you had to pay another €5 extra. • The food was standard, not very tasty and certainly not recommended. • The rooms smelled musty, the bunk beds were downright dangerous for children and we even saw mice. • There are only 2 charging stations for the car, which are almost always occupied. In addition, it is only slow charging with your own home charging cable. • Activities are only offered in French, so it was of no use to our children. • You must clean your room yourself, otherwise a €250 deposit will be withheld. • The fridge in the room is very small. • The reception is difficult to reach: only 2 short moments a day open. So if you arrive later, you have a serious problem with check-in. In short: really not recommended. Anyone who books here has been warned.
We stayed in the 6 person room on the ground floor, block B.||This hotel has some great amenities, the pool is fantastic, the activities great for kids, the staff are really helpful and the area is beautiful. ||There are a couple of issues, the hotel is dated, bathroom smelly and rooms unbearably hot as no through air or aircon. ||We arrived very late to our keys left on reception, found our room fairly easily. ||The room is on two floors, it has a mezzanine floor with two further beds, heat rises and we could not sleep up there. ||There are no facilities in the room to make hot drinks. ||There was no light on the balcony, which was a shame as we would have liked to sit there in the evening. ||Breakfast if not booked already was €10 per adult and €6 per child. Continental breakfast, not fantastic but worked. ||We departed two days early as none of the family could sleep in the heat. (Completely understand the hotel does not control the weather) ||You definitely need access to a car, there is plenty of parking, however it is on a hill so be prepared to have to park lower down.||Overall it wasn’t a bad hotel, just dated and in need of some fans or aircon.
I had a terrible experience at Hotel ULVF. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, with an unpleasant smell that never went away. The staff was unhelpful and seemed uninterested in solving any issues. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and the breakfast was low quality and not worth the price. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Definitely not worth the money.
Not clean, staff was not helpful, and no air condition so it is extremely hot, unbearable in the summer heat. We had to rent a small fan. There is a stench when walking past the cafeteria/restaurant. Bathroom has mold. They want you to leave the place cleaner than when you arrived or they will take your deposit.
Stayed here for one night but there was no air conditioning so the rooms were SO hot and the night was unbearable. Lots of insects as well. The pool was still great and the village is very lively with an amazing view from the balcony too!
The room was clean and the view was amazing, dinner and breakfast was good for it's price and the service was really good too. The area is pretty big, the pool is great and there is a big parking lot. The receptionist was so nice and kind, my mum had a birthday and she prepared flowers and wishing card. Really good price for good quality. Hope I will come back someday. Thanks a lot!!
We have booked the above hotel for our 2 days stay in Gillette . First of all no one speaks any English it was hard to communicate , but the worst was the room , very dirty and we had some small insects in the shower and on a bed. On the first night we paid for dinner and we did not manage to eat when the Waitress were cleaning and taking food away !! In the coronavirus time you expect places to be clean and that place was not up to any standards and very unwelcoming! The winning point is only a nice view from the window !
Lovely hotel, fabulous setting. Friendly bar staff & breakfast service. Unfortunately the receptionist was very unhelpful almost as if she resented us being there. Left us waiting almost 15 minutes to check in. Couldn't get food there, ended up eating packets of crisps from the bar.
