A true Norman gem in the heart of Caen. Every single dish was absolutely exquisite, from the starters all the way through to dessert — cooked with real care and passion from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and typically French, exactly what you hope to find in Normandy. And the staff? Welcoming, genuine, with smiles so contagious you leave the place in a great mood. We couldn’t have found anything better. Highly recommended — don’t miss it!

I really had a good dinner at this small cozy restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, I mean the bread was even warm and soft when they were served! The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. I couldn’t fault a thing! Really spent a great night at this restaurant.

Cosy place, it’s a bit packed but not an issue. Staff is friendly and swift. We went for the menu which was a good deal. The food was good, tasty and came quick. The experience could be a bit more lengthened as the dishes came in rapid succession.

Absolutely wonderful. Lovely french cuisine. Small but perfect menu that offered a superb choice. The food was absolutely delicious and we couldn't fault a thing. Great selection of wine. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it if you would like to try out a great, classic local bistro.

The restaurant's attentive service stood out, with the staff catering to every request and providing detailed explanations of each dish. Opting for the menu, I indulged in a culinary adventure that started with snails and beef in a delectable green sauce. It was my first time trying snails, and the experience was truly worthwhile. The main course featured juicy and tender pork accompanied by a velvety celery puree, while the cherry clafoutis with ice cream provided a delightful finale. The wine selection, particularly the sweet Jurançon wine, added a pleasant surprise to the evening. This memorable dinner, surpassing a week of excellent French cuisine, was complemented by the restaurant's charming ambiance. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Le Bouchon de Vaugueux for an exceptional dining experience.

I had a really delicious dinner in this charming family-run restaurant. Food was excellent - fresh ingredients with a lot of flavour. Highly recommend the snail risotto, beef carpaccio and beef tartare. Staff was cheerful and friendly.

Dish was filled with many amazing flavors that complimented each other! Staff was extremely helpful and made great suggestions. Staff was cautious of food allergies as well, I would definitely return.
