Downgraded here from the neighbouring 3 star (also B&B). What a shockingly bad hotel! No reception after 9pm so basically you’re on your own if you can’t get in because the support phone number just rings and rings. Neighbouring B&B hotels won’t help you either because they ‘are separate hotels’…uh huh! Can’t use a Mastercard or Visa debit to pay. Inside is very basic and rooms aren’t tastefully decorated and have vinyl floors. Corridors are shabby. Would not have chosen here and couldn’t recommend it. I will be avoiding all B&B hotels in future!
I booked this hotel for 3 people in 1 room BUT when we got there they don’t have 3 people in 1 room only 2 so we had to pay for another room which I am not happy with.
Hotel and rooms very clean (don't expect full luxury, but for what you pay it is excellent value). The staff are very professional and welcoming. Surprisingly there is a lovely breakfast buffet included. So all in all a great place to stay for an overnight having been through the Channel Tunnel 🙂.
Absolutely awful, had to leave my dad here as Stay For Long decided to book him in better tatters than with us in the equally as awful hotel 3 across the car park, I’ve seen nicer hostels, add that to the appalling check in process that took us an hour to use (automated machine) because firstly it wouldn’t obtain our booking and secondly wouldn’t accept our credit cards to pay the 1€ city tax, after about 15 attempts with different cards it decided to accept one. I’d rather have slept in the car.
Got exactly what we paid for, a no frills hotel. Clientele were somewhat…..interesting, though that’s not the hotels doing. Drink machine in 2 took my money and never gave me a drink, had to go to the bar to get a Coke and water
We have stayed in this hotel overnight for many years traveling to and from the UK. Normally no complaints but on this one occasion we found the internet impossible to connect to (in the room) at reception no problem. Doesn't put us off but a just a bit of a inconvenience. Staff very friendly, room great for the price, restaurant good and breakfast fine. Very easy access and perfect for the Chunnel.
Always use this hotel for a tunnel stopover. It's cheap enough and clean. Hotel was quiet this time. Breakfast has usual cereal, croissants etc. with scrambled eggs and bacon ( bacon a bit weird but edible)
Nice hotel (review for the 2-star hotel) that accepts dogs. Very close to the ferry terminal in Calais with a big parking shared with the other B&B hotels. If you're there in the winter, check that the heating is working, as we had to change rooms, yet that didn't help either so the staff got us portable heater instead.
