Avis
Pancreatic cancer patient, primarily at hospital in Paris, but moved to Antibes right before surgery at Paris hospital. This hospital handled me post surgery (from March through August with follow-ups every 3 months) and for chemo treatment. Staff welcomed me warmly, took their time explaining their process in broken English (I’m American and I don’t have a strong French vocabulary yet) and were wonderful, surpassing even US hospitals with attentiveness and communication. Would highly recommend.
The worst hospital experience (in Europe) until today. If you only have any possibility choose another hospital in the region. Also for emergency cases. Everything could be done wrong, was done wrong. Starting with the radiological test, supposed diagnosis, then accordingly wrong treatment , or no-treatment… No doctors in the clinic for 3 days. Those you find, were not able to help. Even not able to follow standard medical protocols. This is a scandal! Conseil national de l’Ordre des médecins MUST address the incompetence and lack of qualifications of the doctors working at this clinic. Medical stuff (with few exceptions!) unfriendly, no English. In this touristic area it seems insane. One, maximum two days more in this clinic could cost life. If there is any chance, look for another hospital. All my empathy goes to people who have no other possibility than to stay there. To those few people willing to help, our deepest sympathies and thank.
The doctors and hospital were awful incredibly rude condescending and blatantly ignored my issue. They didn’t speak English, Spanish, or Swedish (I gave them three options!!) so only could communicate via Google translate which I had to pull up and initiate on my phone. I walked down Eze Nietsche trail over 3 miles with a sprained ankle in severe pain with shock symptoms and several instances on the way home where I blacked out from the pain. I was in pain from 7pm to 2am and severely shaking from pain during intake. When I told the doctors ROPERT MAXIME and TRIPODI MARGOT my symptoms they ignored me and I had to argue and finally got helped when I said they were blatantly discriminating against me for being a Mexican American, not French. Even then the doctor complained that I wasn’t being “compassionate “ to her and that she had been “working a 24 hour shift”. Isn’t that your literal job?? See my actual response here since I had to Google translate. They didn’t even walk me out to the waiting room despite a severe limp; I had to wander down the hall calling for my husband and I couldn’t make it to the restroom myself so I peed outside in a freaking bush. This place and its employees are grossly negligent, disgusting, and disgraceful.
Good experience. Waited half an hour. Dealt with efficiently and politely, and reassured. Our doctor had some English, which was helpful. My only criticism would be that it’s difficult to find the exit!
Very good experience. Arrived with eye infection on a Sunday afternoon and saw a Doctor within 45 minutes. The Staff were attentive and helped where my French language lacked. Doctor was excellent and after prescription my eye is now recovered.
don’t go to urgencies department at this hospital. The staff are absolutely careless and rude. I, in the process of agressive chimiothérapy, had a temperature 40, been left in the corridor with bright light for over 5 hours without any help whatsoever. I begged for, at least, doliprane, and around 3am, suffering, could not hold any more, asked let me go home. Staff were relieved and did not care at all. my daughter took me back home.
Pathetic emergency service!! I brought my husband into the emergency as he was suffering from the side effects of a pain killer that he was given for the root canal pain. He fainted, was shivering, vomiting, sweating and had fever. When he arrived at the emergency, the hospital staff refused to treat him saying it's the case of dental emergency. Not caring that the problem was from a general purpose medicine rather than dental, they asked us to go to Nice: We will not be treating you! It was 6:00 in the morning and the dental emergency centre which they told us to go for was not open for another 2-3 hours. So we had to come back home. I don't know what's the point of emergency wards if you keep on fighting what type of patients you would love to treat! It means instead of reaching out to the nearest emergency centre the person must first think whether I am eligible for this type of emergency or not?
TERRIBLE EMERGENCY STAFF! The staff is composed by people that chosen the wrong profession. They are completely careless with EVERYONE, rude, arrogant, and when you make a question they are like: You have to wait or I’ll have to close the door! Spent two hours with someone in pain, crying, and they only gave a painkiller during this period. I do not know about the other sectors of this place, but the emergency department is ridiculous! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE WHEN YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY!
