Review for Alstom (HQ Paris) – serious concerns about hiring practices handled by the HR team in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I applied for a Procurement (English/Serbian) role on March 14th, 2026. I bring over 8 years of procurement experience, close to managerial level, and fluency in multiple languages, including native Serbian and professional English. One month later, on April 15th, I discovered the position had already been filled — without a single contact, no interview invitation, not even a basic rejection email. This is not just poor communication — it reflects a deeply flawed and non-transparent hiring process. When a qualified candidate is completely ignored while the role is quietly filled, it raises serious concerns about how decisions are actually being made. From an external perspective, this strongly suggests favoritism, pre-selected candidates, or a process that is not based on merit. Whether this is due to incompetence or something more concerning, the outcome is the same: zero transparency and zero respect for candidates. This feedback is directed at the HR function in Cluj-Napoca, which is actively damaging the reputation of a global company like Alstom.

Excellent corporate office. The building has center dome and glass top which makes the building filled with natural light. The central lifts in open air also looks very elegant and gives a specific feature to the Alstom HQ.
