VILLA ALEXANDRE

This is a hidden gem that you shouldn't miss if you are visiting Beaujolais. Truly, this is La France Profonde. The rooms are immaculate and smartly put together. The pool is divine. The meals are delicious. I can't figure out why it's not more expensive.

Marvellous gem in Beaujolais wine country side. Great views and magnificent garden with pool. Very confortable room With great single mattress double bed. Good to have toilets separated from bathroom. Dinner was not up the level of the accommodation. Wine suggested was great. Breakfasts varied and plentiful. ( we took the 25 euro option). Pool is heated to 25 c with pool side sauna. Pity we did not bring our swim suits. Will come back.

Stayed as part of a 60th birthday trip. Hotel was simply fabulous. Communication pre-trip was excellent, and a warm friendly welcome awaited from all the staff. Ideal location to explore north Beaujolais. Food in the restaurant was very good, we ate on both nights. Would easily return in the future, in warmer weather to enjoy the wonderful outdoor area which is immaculately kept.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Hotel Villa Alexandre is very well appointed, with an excellent eye given to the finishing details eg the little curtain over the air conditioning controls to stop the light! The view from our bedroom across the vineyards was wonderful. We dined in twice and hugely enjoyed our dinner from the set menu. The small team of staff in this family run hotel worked extremely hard to ensure that we had the best of stays. We would highly recommend Hotel Villa Alexandre, and hope to return - perhaps in the summer when we can enjoy the pool and the terrace!

We had a lovely stay here in June. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Camille (I hope I have her name right!) helped us choose a bottle of wine with a cheeseboard and we sat outside in the beautiful terrace garden on a hot day. It was perfect. Additionally, the hotel restaurant and wine choice was excellent - great food and intimate service in a pretty setting. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed briefly here with friends and wish we had stayed much longer. This hotel is truly special and spectacular. The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are idyllic, and the staff is absolutely lovely. Special touches were the common areas, like the bar room and firepit, really made for an extraordinary stay. Don't skip the breakfast!

Absolutely fantastic in every way. Our evening meal was first class, we both enjoyed every mouthful. The hotel is beautiful, situated in very picturesque surroundings and the staff were lovely. We will definitely return next time in are in France and would stay longer. Would be lovely in the summer to enjoy the beautiful gardens and pool.

We were only here as a stop off on our road trip to Loire Valley, but we didn't want to leave! The grounds are beautiful, the hotel buildings are STUNNING and vineyards as far as the eye can see. The room was very comfortable and approprately decorated; we both slept like babies. The shower, towels and bathroom products were absolutely luxurious. The staff in the hotel really went above and beyond for us. We unfortunately were held up for almost 3 hours on one of the toll roads for a very bad car accident, we orginally were supposed to arrive by 19:00 but didn't get there until 22:00. The kitchen was closed but upon hearing that we were stuck on the road and hadnt eaten dinner, Thibaud created the most beautiful meat and cheese board with some salad and fresh bread for us. We chose a local appelation wine to go with it and we were in heaven. It was more food than we could eat and we were so thankful for the kind gesture. Special note for the breakfast as well, thoughtfully put together, delicious, and very filling. We will absolutely be coming back! We love the French country side and travel here often, Hotel Villa Alexandre is one of the best we've experienced.
