Brilliant day out!! We only went for the day, there is so much to do and see so would definitely consider doing the 2-day pass tickets if we went in the future. We attended the Sea Lion show and it was great! There is shows/feedings spread out all throughout the day all free of charge. I would recommend downloading the app as this gives you all the timings of shows/feedings, also handy for the map as it uses your location, you can also filter to show you certain places in the Zoo such as restaurants. We went on the cable cars twice, they hold up to 8 people and are free as well. We went on an extremely hot day (35°c) and it was shaded enough throughout to keep cool there is also misting stations around so you can cool down. Purchased tickets the day before going on the website and there was a small discount added there was no queue to purchased tickets on the day and we entered the park very quickly, physical map given on entry as well. Plenty of souvenir shops scattered around the Zoo and children's play areas although it was too hot for my children to play in them we did fine a water/splash play area which they loved. Great family day out children aged 4 and 10.
An honest review — we visited ZooParc de Beauval during the Easter holidays, and the number of visitors was absolutely enormous. Be prepared for this: there are queues everywhere — for shows, restaurants, cafés, and even toilets. It can feel quite overwhelming at times. That said, if you can look past the crowds, this is a beautifully designed zoo. As a family that enjoys visiting zoos around the world, we found this one to be truly unique in terms of the variety of species. We saw animals here for the first time, which made the visit very special. The highlights were the baby rhino and giraffe, and we also spotted some monkeys that were a real joy to watch. The domes are particularly impressive — they are immersive and thoughtfully created, giving visitors a real sense of being inside the animals’ environment. The bird show is absolutely stunning and definitely worth seeing. However, be prepared to queue early. We waited about an hour to get seats. We missed the sea lion show twice because of the queues, and when we finally got in, we realised everything was in French, so unfortunately we couldn’t fully understand it. Food options are quite limited, mostly cafés offering cheeps, ice cream, and waffles. With teenagers it was manageable, but for families with younger children, I would recommend bringing something more substantial with you. One honest suggestion to the park: it would be great to see water fountains available rather than relying on bottled water. It would improve the visitor experience and be a more environmentally friendly approach.
The BEST zoo I have ever been to. A huge variety of animals, much larger than anything you'll find in the UK. The enclosures and different sections are all beautifully done and you can tell no expense has been spared. The bird show was a highlight... it was so well choreographed and coordinated, with hundreds of different species all flying around at the end. There is food stops everywhere, just be prepared for employees not to speak English (not an issue as they have menus with english as well). Cable car was really handy and gave a whole different perspective on the park as well. I 100% recommend a trip!
Very nice zoo. They have a lot of animals and their cages are not too big so you can spot them quite easily. A lot of cafes and restaurants on premises - but all serving junk food variations - which is a pity as this is a family destination. The sea lions and bird shows are a must - very nice.
Incredible zoo, very vast area and signage is not always very clear, especially inside buildings. Be prepared to walk a lot but you can always either take the cable car to the other side and go back to the entrance or walk down and ride back up. Amenities for disabled people are good in terms of mobility help (elevators). Animal selection is obviously incredible even though mostly centered around pandas for obvious reasons, the rest is absolutely amazing too.
Having a few animals picked out to plan your route was handy. The cable car did mean you could work your way down the park from the middle then take the car to the top and keep going down to where you started rather than having to slog through the whole park again which was very handy.
Honestly, the best zoo I've ever been too. Just the sheer size of it makes it better than anything you've seen before, you will struggle to see it all in one day. If I can recommend anything, please just go and watch the bird show, its just amazing, one of the best things I've ever watched.
Excellent day out - needs a full day. Lovely eating area just outside ticket office on South side. Fun day for adults & kids. So much to see & do 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
