We had a lunch of two persons. David Toutain is one of those restaurants where everything just works. The room is modern and elegant, and the service is calm and attentive. The food is the real highlight — creative, precise, and full of subtle surprises without ever feeling overdone. It’s a two Michelin star experience that feels well deserved. A meal you remember long after leaving. Definitely one of the must-try spots in Paris.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon in Paris, as one of our more significant dinners. The courses were prepared in a way we haven’t seen before, which was incredibly unique and presentation wise - very memorable. The food was great. Every ingredient was well thought-out and fresh; as well as natural. Could not say enough great things about the food and experience. The staff was superb. So very kind and thorough. Everything felt very cool, and not pretentious. Excellent restaurant overall, highly recommend. The opportunity to sit next to the window to watch the kitchen and chefs prepare the food and work their magic was ‘chef’s kiss.’

The service was absolutely outstanding! ☺️ The staff explained every course with great care and attention, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was perfect. The food was incredible - beautifully presented, creative, and full of unique flavors. We are truly grateful to the entire team for their outstanding hospitality and for making this celebration memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were thoroughly impressed by the restaurant's choice of tableware, which complemented the interior design perfectly. Each dish was both creative and delicious, with the exception of the rabbit dish, which proved to be a bit challenging for some. You absolutely must try the supplementary lobster dish. The smoky flavor is just right, it's my favorite. The desserts were nearly flawless. However, the non-alcoholic drink pairings were rather underwhelming, lacking any standout features. The chef's warm and friendly greeting at the end of our meal was a lovely touch. If you ever find yourself in Paris, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Excellent food based on pure ingredients but still with plenty of flavors. Did not live up fully to the two stars in my humble opinion.

A celebrated name in contemporary French gastronomy, holding two Michelin stars, David Toutain’s cuisine is rooted in seasonality, with a strong emphasis on vegetables, purity of flavour, and artistic presentation. From amuse-bouche to dessert, the execution was flawless - every dish reflected precision in temperature, timing, and presentation. The ingredients were exceptional, with vegetables treated as centrepieces rather than supporting elements. While every course impressed, the fish dish was a standout - executed to perfection. A few minor details took away from an otherwise faultless experience - occasional stains on cutlery (e.g., sauce on a spoon), and while the maitre’d and sommelier were fantastic, some of the service felt a little less engaged. That said, the foundation is undeniably there. Wishing them all the best in their pursuit of that third star.

A two star Michelin restaurant, clearly deserving of a third star. An excellent gustatory experience. From the door, you can feel the level of excellence that this restaurant exudes. The setting, the service, the details, were all accounted for. The composition of menu was genius. Chef Toutain’s personality really showed through our dining experience. A progression of flavours that were not overshadowing each other, rather, complimentary to the whole of the menu. I was very impressed by the knife work of all of the plated ingredients. The sauces were complex, but not overwhelming or overpowering. Balanced. A special thank you to the service staff and particularly the General Manager, Guillaume, as they provided my wife and I an experience that we will not forget! Thank you to the team at Restaurant David Toutain!
