We stayed in camping de la plague in early September and we are going back this year. The staff are so friendly and so accommodating. It is great location with the beach. The facilities are fantastic and everything kept so clean and nice. It is very near the ferry ports and brest airport. We are looking forward to getting back this year again. Coyles , Ireland
Liked: Location is great. Benodet is a beautiful little town with fabulous beach and amenities. Close enough to some decent sized towns. Kids play and pool areas are excellent. Bar area, when open is really good. Food and shop decent when open. Really nice and helpful staff Pitches a good size if you're lucky Nice quiet site at night Very dog friendly Campsite was clean enough Disliked: Not enough toilets No toilet paper provided No hand drying machines in bathrooms Bar and shop should be open much longer Not enough washing machines and dryers for size of site Very poor WiFi signal and speeds
We had phenomenal stay there in our tent. Campsite is green, with nicely separated pitches with fruit trees and bushes. Absolutely spotless, with always clean washing and shower facilities. Pool area nice and tidy but with one down fall. Why do you require tight swimming shorts? Some people could feel uncomfortable. There is nice pub on site with very hard working but still kind and friendly staff. Ladies at the reception were very helpful. They can all speak English, and are very happy helping with recommendations about what to see and where to go. Definitely would recommend this campsite for families with kids. Few things needs to be modernised as you can tell that time has stopped in few places, but it’s a large campsite with right amount of things to keep entertained everyone.
Liked: *Friendly Staff, very welcoming and helpful. *Lovely pitch, good size with nice balance of natural boarders and privacy. *Location was great, close to beaches and harbour. *Pools and slides - children loved them. *Good amount of toilets, showers & washroom facilities. *Generally friendly atmosphere among all campers. Disliked: *Not really a dislike but would have been handy if there was a shop on site. Think there was supposed to be one, but we never saw it open. But we got good advice of where the supermarkets were and stocked up so wan't really a problem, just on our first day. *Wasn't aware of the 'no swim shorts' rule for the pool and so had to buy 'swim boxers' on location. Would have been handy to have this in the Pitch Up write up/info so we could have provisioned beforehand.
Liked: The site was amazing my two boys LOVED thr swimming pools the 2 slides especially the curly one. The pools were clean and everything tidy. The boys enjoyed the football tournaments, the person who runs them were brilliant with the kids. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The site was lovely clean and tidy. The little shop was very convenient for the pastries and bread and very reasonable.the location was brilliant for the beach walking distance or on your bikes. Loved it .
Liked: Friendly staff. Close to beach and restaurants. Pool was good. Pitch was a decent size. Toilet/shower block kept clean. The snack bar onsite was a good option after a busy day, lovely fresh pizzas and burgers. Enjoyed a drink at the bar which is conveniently placed next to the snack bar. The shop was OK for fresh bread and croissant and milk, but not a great deal else for sale. Benodet is a lovely clean place and only a short walk to the sea from the campsite. There are some great places to visit within the surrounding areas. Disliked: Poor electric supply, it tripped out everyday for the first 12 days of the holiday. Not much for older children to do, we have an 11 year old and apart from the pool there isn't much more to do as the park is for under 10's. The pool area could do with more supervision or a lifeguard. Remember to take loo roll as not supplied in site toilets.
Liked: Lovely, clean site. Very peaceful setting with plenty to do for the kids. Our pitch felt nice and private, even though we were right next to people on all sides. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Great location with several beaches nearby. Swimming Pool and slides were where the kids wanted to be all day and a nice play area too. Nice bar for a few drinks at the end of the day. Disliked: WiFi was awful and kicked you off every few minutes. It was busy season, so was probably overloaded with too many users.
Really lovely campsite - I don’t understand some of the less positive reviews others had left here. |We were a large family group spread over three camping emplacements. The campsite owners ensured we were all camping next to each other, which was great. The emplacements themselves were spacious and shaded, with nice mature trees. Showers and toilets etc all good and kept very clean. |We really enjoyed the pool (and the slides for the younger members of the group). A short walk to a few different beaches and about 20 minutes walk along the seafront into the town. |Most of all, the campsite staff could not have been more helpful. We had various mishaps - medical and car-related - and they went out of their way to help us through our whole holiday. A big thank you to the wonderful staff. |We would 100% recommend, and we will definitely return.
