Avis
Small airport and feels it's age. Terminal 2 (mainly Ryanair) is like an old fashioned bus stop. Nothing past passport control except one toilet each for males and females and a vending machine. Starbucks, duty free and some eating places once you're through security. A bit naff!
Well, nice weather outside the airport. But that would be a 5 star review for the necessary being, however the passport check in area was quite humble I'd like tonsay. The border force personelle were very very friendly and professional. Good airport for a long layover, you can visit the Old port nearby.
The terminal 1 hall has been refurbished and looks much nicer & brighter, well functional toilet facilities, designated seating area with some vending machines for drinks and snacks. As for the Terminal 2 area (*mainly use by Ryanair & other regional low cost airline) is lack of space and much smaller. Departures waiting area spread to 2 floors but can be very cramp and lack of space and seatings. Toilets facilities definitely need upgrading. The walkway to the departures gates a very narrow while waiting in line.
Small airport but has everything a traveller needs. We'll maintained and clean facilities, well informed, courteous and multilingual staff. Terminal 1 and 2 are practically next to each other. Passport control for all nationalities present upon arrival. Easy access to bus stops (right outside the departure and arrival exits and entrance). Luggage space rental available outside as well. Waiting areas for busses are well maintained and clean. Bus and train ticket machines (accepts NFC and cash payments) available across the street next to the vending machines.
Recently renovated in many areas of the airport. It is a great airport but after passport control for outside European countries the variety is extremely limited and not in the same levels of what it is outside. Also, edge hour flights have no options. They work like normal day work times and that's it.
Easy plenty of parking space, handy for any airport needs. Definitely an excellent airport for traveling and ontime flights !! Large selection of deli (like La Duree), coffee bars, gourmet cozy restaurants. Really a pleasure.
Somewhere inside Marseille Provence Airport, Terminal 2 appears to be approaching the end of a construction project that probably began sometime around the time Louis Blériot first flew the English Channel. I first came through here years ago and spent most of the visit navigating hoardings, temporary corridors and the quiet suspicion that the shops were hiding from me. Now there are cafés, a few proper retail spots, even places to sit without feeling like you’ve wandered onto a building site. Perhaps they were always there, just waiting patiently behind the scaffolding. Either way, it’s turning into a rather agreeable place to wait for a plane.
Really small airport, I don't think the terminal enough big to this number of travellers control and organised the flights, but surprise start in time the flight.
