A wonderful example of a beautiful village. It is slightly quieter than some of the others. We got there early morning though. The car park is a few minutes walk away from the village centre and is a pay and display. The village is small but interesting. There is a resident photographer who has his work dotted around the place which helps you to move around the village and also see photos at different times of year. I painted a view of someone viewing the art. The shadows and light are amazing. I can see why he loves the place so much.

This village is just so pretty and a really worthwhile place to just walk around. Right next to the Dordogne river with very interesting architecture.

Unbelievable historic complex, particularly the glorious Romanesque tympanum. Beautiful village setting.

Cool ruins. The hike is not too bad, keep going up after you visit the ruins to the top of the plateau for amazing views. Don’t forget to stop by the Autiore waterfall before you go up to the ruins.

Exceptionally beautiful tympannum, unusually well preserved. A good example of Jesus with his disciples from the Romanesque period of sculpture.

Very nice historical place
