We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and it improves every time. Clean comfortable and quiet.|Handy for the ferry terminal at Roscoff. |Carantec is a pretty town with a nice beach, a good market on Thursdays, and a few good places to eat. We can recommend La chaise de Curé for an evening meal.
Great hotel in a lovely location Staff helpful and friendly. Good food wine and bear .
Very central location in town centre - everything walkable. A few hotel parking spots. Would appear to be family ran and all staff very friendly especially the man who was happy to share suggestions and info on things like bus times and upcoming festivals.
We stayed here for four nights on our short trip to Brittany.|The hotel was very comfortable and clean, and we would definitely book again if we ever need to stay in the area.|Parking was easy, either in the hotel 5 space car park, or in the public car park opposite. Thursday is market day when parking is a little more difficult but not impossible. One of the main beaches is a short walk away, with good restaurants overlooking. Overall, the hotel provided us with exactly what we needed, and of course Carantec is a lovely place to stay in. Highly recommended.
We booked this short break through Britanny Ferries in early May. The hotel is centrally located in this small town, and because the road system is a myriad of one way streets we never heard other traffic, even on market day. The welcome was very warm and our room was ready after lunch. We had room 6, spacious with a good en-suite and tea/coffee facilities. We overlooked the two hotel terraces to the rear, it was very pleasant indeed. There are 4 car parking places behind the hotel, but plentiful free parking opposite and elsewhere in the town; however Thursday is market day when these car parks are closed. Our only disappointment was the breakfast which did not match other French hotels we have stayed at. The croissants and crepes were laid out on the individual tables, and bread, jams and cereals at the buffet. There were packets of cream cheese but sadly no fresh cheese, ham, eggs or fresh fruit available. Local restaurants for an evening meal included a creperie opposite the church and Ty Pot which was closed when we were there. However the reception recommended the eateries on La Plage du Kelenn. It was a superb mention, they are open all day and we enjoyed lovely food (from restaurant no 3) with the sun shining over the sea.
Nice place. Beds are firm enough, to my liking. We had a room on the street side but it so quite it's not a problem. We even slept with the window opened. There is an electric role up curtain which make the room completely dark for a great deep sleep if you wish. The bathroom is a bit outdated but alright still. We didn't have breakfast so I can't tell about it (there is a boulangerie just literally around the corner where we got our BF. But be aware, no nice people in there...unlike the people in the hotel). We got a warm welcome and the checking out was smooth. The hotel us at walking distance from the sea front restaurants. Little foot path brings you there. Definitely recommend.
We were pleased to return (for just one night) on our way back to the ferry. Since our last visit considerable improvements have been made to the public areas and a 5 space carpark is now available at the rear. The bedroom was comfortable.||||Cleanliness throughout was good as was the fullsome buffet breakfast.||||No doubt we will return on our next visit to France.
It is a superb small hotel very well kept. The accommodation is excellent, very comfortable. A lovely breakfast this morning, my first of six. Staff do all possible to make people special. I will certainly come again.
