Villa Amara was one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in. Set in a beautiful garden that feels far removed from the city, and yet only a few minutes walk from the center, it felt like a magical haven. The design of our Estivale suite couldn’t have been better—clearly a great deal of attention had been brought to every detail. Our stay was greatly enhanced by the care of the thoughtful owner and her charming manager. We stayed for three nights and I was sorry to leave. Really, I can’t recommend the place highly enough.

What a peaceful oasis to return to after warm Provençal days wandering the markets, shopping and rosé! Thank you Silvio and Lilli for your kind hospitality. Your willingness to go above and beyond really made the stay unforgettable. We will recommend Villa Amara to all that will listen. 🙂

Like so many places Aix en Provence offers a wide variety of places to stay, but if you choose Villa Amara you will have struck gold. Only three spacious, beautifully appointed suites set in serene, scented gardens, an elegant home from home where Lilli and Silvio will make you feel so very welcome. ||Aix itself is a fabulous city, small enough to enjoy getting lost in, full of boutique shops, exquisite patisserie, the most colourful markets, and too many restaurants to choose from, all within just a few minutes walk of Villa Amara. ||What is not to like ❤️

Villa Amara is not to be missed. It is a beautiful serene oasis perfectly located in Aix-en-Provence. Every room has large windows with beautiful views. |From the view out the living room windows overlooking the beautiful pool and courtyard, to the back patio, to the wonderful interior art and furnishing, the ambiance is just the best. We especially enjoyed sitting in the front courtyard with wine and cheese after a day of exploring.|It is a delightful refuge, and just a short and charming walk to the center of Aix-en-Provence. |Lilli is a wonderful host and took excellent care of us, including making reservations for us at local restaurants. She made sure everything was top-notch. |Villa Amara is spotlessly maintained and has books available and lovely art inside for your enjoyment. It is beautifully decorated. It just was a wonderful experience.|There is a large soaker bathtub and oversized shower available in the bathroom. Every inch of this apartment was perfect from the kitchen to the sitting area to the bathroom to the back porch. We plan on returning and trying another suite. There is nothing better to be had.

The Villa Amara is a tranquil retreat steps from the city center. Gorgeous garden and pool, quiet, with many personal touches. Spacious and comfortable; our every need was anticipated. Private patio for morning coffees, and huge cozy couch in the sitting room. Many thoughtful suggestions for where to go and eat. Thank you for your generous hospitality; we hope to return soon!

What a serene, beautiful oasis this is. Minutes from the historic centre, yet surrounded by flowers and trees and tranquility. Details in the suite have been so carefully thought out. Decor is beautiful and the welcome from the owner and concierge could not be more thoughtful.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Amara and enjoying Lille’s hospitality at the end of September. Everything was perfect including location, ambience and luxury. Lille helped with dinner reservations and also kindly organised our hire car for our next destination. And some helpful hints for Aix and our onward journey as well. Villa Amara was outstanding in all respects. This is, without doubt, a five-star property. The exclusive, three-suite property is an exquisite manse, set in a lush private garden, walking distance from the heart of Aix-en-provence. From the stately exterior to the carefully decorated interior of our one-bedroom apartment, every detail was artful and thoughtful. The rooms were light-filled, spacious and combined the best of historical and modern fittings. Looking out from our floor to ceiling windows every morning, we gazed upon a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by graceful plane trees. Every detail, down to the guide to Aix provided by our elegant host, exceeded our (high) expectations. We cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to return.
