Great venue. Sloped floors make sure everyone has a good view. Spacious surroundings for breathing room and bars and merch stands.
La Cigale is one of Paris’s most iconic and intimate concert venues – and an absolute must for music lovers. Tucked away in the lively Pigalle neighborhood, it has a charm that combines old-world elegance with a raw, electric energy that comes alive during performances. The hall itself is stunning, with beautiful red velvet seating, ornate balconies, and that classic Parisian theater feel. The acoustics are excellent – you can really feel the music, whether you're standing in the pit or seated in the mezzanine. I’ve seen everything from indie rock to soul artists here, and the sound quality has been consistently impressive. What really makes La Cigale special is how close you feel to the performers. It’s large enough to host well-known acts, but small enough that no matter where you are, the experience feels personal and immersive. One important tip that’s often overlooked: don’t forget to tip the ushers! Many of them work hard to help people find their seats quickly and keep the crowd flowing smoothly, especially during sold-out shows. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way, and it’s part of the concert etiquette at venues like this. The venue is easy to access by metro (right near Pigalle station), and there are plenty of great spots to grab a drink or bite before or after the show. Whether you're a local or just visiting Paris, catching a concert at La Cigale is an experience you won’t forget. 350,000 views/month on Google Maps As a Local Guide and photographer, I love discovering spots like this! Went here to see Bertrand Belin and had an incredible time. This venue is so beautiful and historic, the staff are kind and efficient, and the best part is how intimate it feels. We were able to be very close to the stage without feeling overly crowded. Would 100% recommend!
I found La Cigale to be quite a small concert venue and easy to watch the band on stage. Even at the back, I found it easy see. The sound and light show was exceptional. The ushers were very friendly and helpful, asking me if I would like to move seats further forward as it wasn't completely full. I declined, though, as the seats we had were excellent. On the whole, a wonderful evening!
Great show put on (Stomp), but the seating....'pff' as the French would say! Paid 74€ for approx 15cms of legroom across almost half my seat, really spoiled the evening for me 🫤 The images are seat folded/sprung up and then held down. The stage was to the right when seated so your legs had to go left and invade your neighbors space, while you look right for a couple of hours....really comfortable ffs! 🙄 I don't know how they can sell that at full price....won't be going back in a hurry!
Great concert location, you feel safe. You should arrive early for seats. Water is expensive at three euros a Little bit expensive.
Went here in December, La Cigale is a great concert hall. I specifically loved the balcony which is where I was standing through the show.
Very good venue, accessible via metro and bus. Upstairs seating, downstairs standing, excellent visibility of the stage from all areas. Good bar, reasonable prices. Staff helpful and courteous. If you ever get the opportunity to see a show here, take it,
