Interesting historical site. No English translation available so it was a challenge to understand the explanations by the exhibits. If I was still fluent in french I would have given 5 stars!

Brilliant experience, well worth a visit. My teenager loved it. Not buggy friendly so keep that in mind. Amazing collection of artefacts and very good explanation and translation sheets available for the different areas.

Great museum to see the impact on the area! I was more familiar with the Normandy region, and this was an excellent addition of knowledge for the local area and had excellent displays.

Fantastic museum. So well thought out and laid out. Very inclusive for children as they had to find clues in the displays. If you like history it's a must, it will give the chills!

Very interesting museum that remembers the town during WW2. Beat to visit early or late because by its design, it can be cramped if many people are there. Apart from learning about he Germans' medical expertise during the war, there are also interesting nuggets about the men and women from the town who fought in the Resistance.

Excellent visit and exposition of the German Army occupation of Vendée. A film with English subtitles giving a brief overview of the WWII occupation. Well worth the small price for a one hour step back into the past.

Very interesting museum set in original German WW2 bunker complex. Quite small but with lots of interesting exhibits and artefacts. A really good narrative on the local history with a great English subtitled film to set the scene as you tour the museum. Make sure you ask for the translation cards at reception. Recommend without question.

Very well laid out and presented. Excellent place to visit if you are, anyway, interested in 2nd World War structures. Well done.
