We absolutely loved this site. Came for 2 days and stayed for 7. Lovely large pitches and access to the river ( dog loved it). Celine and her family are great hosts and super helpful . We enjoyed the Moule frites evening. Would definitely recommend . The swimming pool is wonderful in a heatwave

As a couple, we chose this very calm campsite to explore Le Bugue and the surrounding villages like Les Eyzies and Limeuil. The individual pitches are exceptionally large and thus offer a pleasently private atmosphere. It is recommended to bring your own toilet paper, at least outside of the main summer period. The campsite offers shower cabins as well as wash basins. Some pitches are furthermore equipped with individual bath cabins. Located on the shore of the Vézère river, one gets a good sense of the local nature and environment. You will hear all kinds of animals, both during day time and nocturnal. The pool is clean, well maintained and includes a waterslide for kids. At the reception you will find a choise of items for everyday life. Anything else can be purchased at the local supermarket, about ten minutes by foot away. Better yet, enjoy the market in Le Bugue, every tuesday and saturday. The owners are very friendly, courteous and fluent in english. Have a nice chat at the reception, if you fancy, and order your choice of croissants, pain au chocolat or baguettes there. Anyone interested in easy bike tours will be delighted to find the campsite being located directly at the Voie Verte bike route. Limeuil is about 5 km away, Les Eyzies about 12 km. Since this trail follows the Vézère closely, there should be no difficulty in terms of hills and slopes. In summery, this campsite is a welcome recommendation. Just beware the vineyard snails and toads that like to show up at night!

Beautiful campsite by the river. Staff very helpful and friendly. Huge private pitches. Facilities recently refurbished and in spotless condition. Beautiful pools bar and snacks. Easy walk into le bugue with markets twice a week. Supermarket a short walk frome entrance. Will definitely return.

Great campsite. Very friendly and large pitches. The slide is quite simple but the kids there liked it. The pool bar could be open longer and less loud speaker announcements would be better. The facilities were clean. Queues formed at busy times but otherwise ok. Restaurant was good but specials every day so frites or pizza takeaway on specific days only, which is fine but needs planning. Staff friendly but the Pool Girl was picky about who she allowed to were shorts instead of speedos. If you argue she seems to give in easy. The head Lady was very nice and cheerful. Great service. Toilet paper not supplied. Short walk to Hyper Market,Lidl, Aldi and town. There was a power cut on the last night that lasted into the next morning so no showers or breakfast. Not their fault as it was Bugue wide.

Stayed 2 weeks end May- begin June. Very friendly receiption and quiet camping. Pick any pitch which is free (but not in the high season). Sanitaires are clean. Wifi is only free for 10 minuts then payement is needed. Large hedged pitches (I am at K10, photo, including the white car). The big plus is it is not at a 'tourist' spot, although there are at least 3 tourist attractions in Le Bugue, And it is in walking distance to Aldi, Lidl and Intermarche (with every day freshly made Sushi). The area is very very touristic and I do not want to be there in the high season. Many things to see or do within 30 km.

I believe this is the cheapest three star campsite in the region and it offers excellent value. The pitches are spacious and have hedges around their boundary. Trees provide some shade and the owner allowed us to walk around the site and choose the plot which best met our needs. The owner is very friendly and helpful, providing advice on how we could repair our electric coolbox when part of the charging cable melted in the heat. The leisure facilities are good. The swimming pool is popular but there is also a tennis court which just a few people used and for small children there is a well equipped playgroud. There is also the usual facilities to play boules plus some outdoor gym equipment that I never saw being used at all! The facilities are a bit dated but they were kept clean and because the site has quite a lot of cabins and static tents which probably have their own facilities, they didn't appear overused.A huge advantage of this campsite to guests is it's proximity to the town including four supermarkets which means you don't waste time travelling for food and supplies. However from the campsite itself you would never guess you were so close to the town. The river runs along one edge of the campsite and is a great place to sit reading a book in the shade of a tree or swim in the river as some people did.We stayed here in the last week of July and first week of August. Towards the end of our stay the site was getting busier and we started to hear music being played around the pool during the day but all holiday makers seem well behaved and courteous to fellow guests. On our holidays we use the camp site as a base, leaving to explore the area and undertake activities during the day and return in late afternoon to use the swimming pool and eat and the site met our needs in full.

Lovely site on the river. Very easy access and huge pitches mostly level. Friendly reception and excellent value for money. Bar open in the evening and swimming pool is good. Short walk to Intermarche and bio supermarket.

A very friendly campsite. Have been regular visitors since the present owners took over and every visit shows improvements. Would hope to be a continuing visitor. Best wishes to Rochelle de la Granelle for continued success.
