Avis
Incredible spot to have a walk and enjoy the beautiful colors of the tulips. Please respect the flowers and don’t step in.
Great for a sunny day end of March!
Champs Tulipes Jonquières, near Avignon in Provence, France, is a vibrant springtime attraction, but it’s not open in December, making it unsuitable for your family’s visit. From late March to early April (March 29–April 6, 2025), this 3-hectare field, run by Dutch company Triflor, bursts with millions of colorful tulips—red, yellow, pink, and more—set against the Mont Ventoux. It’s free to enter, with a 600-meter walk from a large parking lot (muddy after rain, so wear boots). Your son would love the photo ops and picking 15 tulip stems to keep (small fee, cash only). Weekends feature food trucks, ice cream, and local produce stalls, creating a festive vibe for families. The flat terrain suits strollers, and picnic areas are available, though respect the fields—stick to paths to avoid damaging bulbs. Crowds can swell, so arrive early (10 AM opening) for quieter exploration. Pair with nearby Orange’s Roman Theatre for a full day. While stunning, the short season and spring-only bloom mean it’s not an option for December. Consider Interlaken or Grindelwald for winter alternatives. Check “Fêtons les tulipes de Jonquières” on Facebook for updates.
Extremely picturesque with a cute small market!
Very beautiful place. Light is better on sunset
My wife and I went on Thursday April 18th, and there were no flowers at all!!!!!!!!!!!! We are absolutely disappointed for this experience.
Absolutely outstanding with very kind staff wrapping “you pick” tulips, 15 stems for 5euros.
We came to this address but couldnt find the tulips.
