Fun Disney Shopping Area Outside the Park Visited the Disney shopping area located outside of the main park, and it’s such a fun place to walk around even if you’re not entering Disneyland itself. The whole area still has that Disney vibe, just without the crowds inside the park. There are many different shops selling Disney merchandise - from cute souvenirs and plushies to apparel and collectibles. It’s really hard to leave empty-handed! The displays are fun to browse, and there’s something for every age. Food options are plentiful too, with lots of eateries and snack spots, so it’s a great place to grab a meal or just chill with a drink. Whether you’re looking for a proper sit-down meal or quick bites, there’s plenty to choose from. Overall, a lively and enjoyable area to shop, eat, and soak in the Disney atmosphere. A nice place to hang out before or after visiting the park! 🛍️✨
An amazing piece of magic just outside of the Disney parks with some good selection of shops and new renovations shops. There’s also good selection of restaurants and bars also sports bar which has several enormous outdoor screens with multiple different sports on the different displays at any given time. The new McDonalds is nice but can be a long queue to get in. “The Royal pub” and “The steakhouse” has nice food. The rainforest cafe has a nice experience to it but could do with a revamp as getting a bit dated.
The experience as a family is 100% and you make infinity of core memories! The organization, the set-up and walking distance between the rides are totally walkable. Hint, have your youngest kid at a hight of 120cm to be able to let them ride almost everything (Indiana Jones is 140cm hight requiret) The app crashed so many times, that I'm more than happy to delete it after the trip! Bring your own food! And beverage!
The village is ideal when you need a "change of scenery" from the theme parks. There are plenty of options on the food and drink front, and while there are plenty of shops all selling Disney products, they do vary (slightly) in their themes. When we visited there was building work going on but when this is finished it should be even better.
Specific review for Billy Bob's Western Saloon: We ordered non-alcoholic cocktails Twilight Breeze, Platter to share with cheese and sausage and nachos with melted cheddar and guacamole, and it was the worst we ever had.... The cocktails of € 9,50 each were mostly ice-cubes and the platter of € 16,- contained 8 small slices of chorizo, 8 small slices of dried fuet, 2 cheeses of 3 bits each, some chicken rilette and 2 slices of ham, and 3 small white hard pieces of bread.... The melted cheddar was cold and the marinated olives which were promised in the menu were non-existing.... All together we paid € 47,50 for something which didn't taste fresh and was way too expensive for what we got.... We would not recommend this for future visitors.
The gateway to a magical experience. Free to enter, with limited gift shops and restaurants. Was some construction when we visited. Defo worth a visit.
Shops/ boutiques and food places - Starbucks was a plus on site, advertises they have five guys- but you have to go out of the park to get to this, there is a McDonald’s on site but the staff are hopeless however it’s the only edible food on the whole site! Unless you like fried greasy cold food , all the food is the same no matter where you eat, whether that’s at the village or on the park and it’s overpriced. The shops were cute, the rainforest cafe looks very outdated from the outside and I remember as a child this was a favourite for me however didn’t have the same feelings seeing it 😞 There’s a huge Disney store and Lego store which were always busy, not much going on entertainment wise. Billy bobs was good on New Year’s Eve as they had a singer and a band which were enjoyable! The royal pub was also quaint and you can sit outside we mostly had to sit outside whichever place we went too as they don’t have enough seating to cater for the footfall of people. The air balloon looked nice when up in the air - the gift shops were heavily expensive too
Very interesting area pre-parks. It has a nice selection of shops. Jewelery, fashion, souvenir, plushies, all sorts of cute and Disney theme stuff. There are also some restaurants and even a Lego shop with an amazing display to take photos at. There is also a Hot air balloon, if you feel adventurous and want to have a nice view of the area. It looked fun. I didn't do it thought.
