Avis
Lovely spot in the shade, nice selection of food and beverages. Deserves a better complaint policy unless your thing is to be insulted by the owner after you question him about the leak in the sup board you rented.
We try and come every year and we love it! Eric is so chill and always has a smile for everyone. Definitely recommended!
Fantastic canoe company that offers itineraries on the Vézère and Dordogne rivers. I recently went down the river from Les Eyzies to Limeuil (around a 4 hour decent) with a friend in individual open kayaks. We had the river to ourselves thanks to the weather which was great. We arrived just before 11am and were kitted out and on the road to the starting point in Les Eyzies in under 10 minutes. The kayaks were great, and I recommend getting the watertight barrels for any food and spare clothing you want to take down the river. It makes stopping and picnic-ing much easier. We had a problem booking using the website, so I emailed to make a reservation. The response was quick and friendly. I recommend reserving in advance especially in high season as the canoeing is popular on both rivers.
Great service, friendly and good English. Lovely paddle down the Vezère joining the Dordogne then collection and return from Sors. We were the only people on the rivers. So quiet and peaceful with the added attraction of autumn colours
We did a four-day canoe trip from Montignac to Tremolat. Very good service from the staff at Les Canoës du Bournat. All our stuff was packed in watertight barrels provided by the company. We stopped at three campsites along the way: Paradis, Riviere and Limeuil. All good and with swimming pools. The canoeing wasn't too strenuous, but still good exercise. Can also be done by children. Nice activity that also gives you opportunity for contemplation while enjoying natural beauty (almost the entire stretch of the river banks was linked with trees so you really felt like you were in the wilderness). Also strongly recommend you stop at Saint-Léon, very nice village where you can have lunch on the first day. You should also stop at some of the little islands in the river and have a swim.
We did the short 5km route from Le Bugue. Easy to find the car park. Quickly got our life jackets and an oar from friendly staff. Short trip in van to drop off and launch the canoe. Beautiful, easy paddle along the river. We saw a Kingfisher, loads of beautiful dragonflies and butterflies. A peaceful and relaxing hour. Back at base there is a cafe and tables and chairs to sit and relax and a bouncy castle for the kids. We bad a lovely time - thanks!
Everyone had a great time. The staff are excellent and friendly. The option of eating at the site afterwards was very welcome. Thank you.
We were there at 9:15, staff didn’t feel like they wanted to be there. Not much English spoken. We didn’t get the boat configuration for 10 people that we’d have liked. So felt a bit unwelcome.
