Charming and very helpful hosts who provide excellent accommodation - and evening dinners, if booked in advance. Bellac not a particularly memorable town but it is handy for Mortemart, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France, and for Montrol-Senard with its delightful old school which houses an excellent museum.

Maison Bellachone is a beautiful traditional town house. We had room one which was spacious clean with a huge comfortable bed. The bathroom had a bath and over shower with towels and toiletries provided. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hosts Craig and Shorani were welcoming and helpful booking us a table at a local restaurant a great recommendation. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Such a wonderful place to stay. The house is beautiful with each room having its own distinctive charm. The beds are huge and so comfortable and even though you are very close to the town it is so quiet and peaceful. You are close to some wonderful walks and the local bars and restaurants are excellent. Craig and Shirani are great hosts and I would definitely recommend staying there.

A wonderful B&B in the heart of Bellac. Location is easy to find with plenty of parking. Accommodation is wonderful - spacious rooms, comfy bed, beautiful views and Craig and Shirani couldn’t be any lovelier. Really comfortable, relaxed space that feels like a home away from home. Breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend!

We’ve just stayed here for the long Easter weekend and have had an amazing time. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious, the beds are extremely large and comfortable too - the perfect elements for a relaxing stay and peaceful night’s rest. ||We loved the tranquility of this place and Shirani and Craig, were wonderful hosts. ||I thoroughly recommend this place and will be coming back to stay again soon!

We stayed two nights in Bellac. Maison Bellachonne was ideal for what we wanted. The rooms are very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. It would be perfect if tea/coffee facilities were in the room instead of in the reception lounge. Breakfast was as described, fresh and delicious. Craig gave suggestions of where to eat locally, one place was a lovely little bar by the riverside, which was a perfect setting. Craig and Shirani were great hosts and we would recommend this as a great place to stay.

We stayed at Maison Bellachonne for just one night, whilst travelling to the south of France - we wished we could have stayed longer!|The house is quite plain from the outside, but step through the door and you are greeted by a property of great character and warmth. The rooms are large and furnished with antique furniture in keeping with the house. However, the beds are big and comfortable and the bathrooms well up to modern standards. We stayed in the gold room, at the back of the house, which was quiet and had a very nice countryside view. Our breakfast was continental style, with a lovely light crème caramel starter. Craig and Shiranee, the English owners of the house could not have been more welcoming. If we are ever in the area again we would certainly want to stay there.

Craig and Shirani hosted us at very short notice when we were marooned with car problems. A lovely house, very comfortable rooms, great breakfast and a warm welcome. Thank you.
