I truly admire this cathedral and the city as a whole. The cathedral is magnificent, and the city is home to many other remarkable monuments. A small, lesser-known gem well worth discovering.
Majestic building. The Cathedral in Soissons is a Gothic temple from the 12th-14th century, known for its extremely slender tower and bright, harmonious interior. Inside, it's worth noting the high vaults, colorful stained glass, and the sense of space that distinguishes it from more powerful cathedrals, such as those in Reims or Amiens.
Great visit and very interesting to see how things have be built destroyed and rebuilt over time
Beautiful cathedral, we visited on a rainy day in Soissons, wow, it's incredible, I lit a candle for my friend and was in awe of the architecture and beautiful artwork and stone and wood carving. the cathedral came under heavy shelling in ww1 but has been restored amazingly, Soissons has a long and interesting history, it's not really a tourist town but it was interesting to visit.
1 of the 7 cathedrals of Picardes. Good to see the conservation works.
Beautiful cathedral, lovely to see the light coming through the stained glass windows and the roof is a lovely green pattern. Come here on Saturday or Wednesday morning for market day!
