SARL COTTAGE DE PONT-AVEN

We last visited 28 years ago when it was run by Siblu Haven. We had so many happy memories that we decided to go back to have another look. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. The campsite part has gone completely! The shower/toilet block was still there though. The park was welcoming and the staff used to walk around each day inviting you to different activities and generally getting you involved. Nothing like that now 😕 unless they are speeding around in the golf trolley you don't see them. We stayed in a basic caravan and paid for bedding. Don't bother! The bedding was poor quality and grubby that I ended up going to le clerc and buying new! The bed was uncomfortable but the worse was the acorns dropping off and banging on the roof! Our neighbours stayed up till late playing music/watching TV and we were so close to them that we could hear every word! It seems more like an American caravan home now than a holiday park. Oh and if you bought a caravan in September I would check out the underneath as the guys moving the vans didn't gently go over the speed bumps but scraped every single one! We also visited the onsite restaurant once! Overcooked ping ping food. On a positive note...I am pleased to say that Rospico beach hasn't changed. Concarneu was just as lovely also x

Although the campsite and facilities is very pleasant , however the disappointment for our family of 4 who have two young children who love the kids entertainment was the lack of English speakers. I worked on the campsite 15 years ago and at that point employed lots of English , and English speakers. I wanted to bring my family, to have the experience we had. However the entertainment is fully in French with zero translations, we had to watch the lion king being mimed in fully French and games of which my children had no idea what was happening. I made the complaint to the only English speaking member of staff and was told that they made the decision to not employee English speakers. We also made the complaint to reception and were told they thought the animation team were translating and a manager would contact us . This never happened. The poor translation also continued into the pool with us having no clue on any messages. Now I wouldn’t mind if this was advertised, however it isn’t any where and claims to be bi-lingual. ||I’m quite frustrated that the promise of follow up from management staff never happened. ||Any families who wish to enjoy the entertainment or just wish to understand what is going on then this isn’t for you.

Great place to stay for families. I would use the park again, but buy the fun passes earlier to get a discount as they are a bit pricey

i was bored out of my mind, and there was no wifi or even data at all so i couldn't even get some work done. moreover i got a mobile home that was the furthest close to some forest which wasn't to my liking and i couldn't get another one although i paid... the staff wasn't friendly if not almost absent and last but not least, the entire zone is so packed with mobile home, you feel constantly jammed...

We visited as guest the mobile homes .. it was nice and we loved one kind of MobileHome ..truly a tiny home ..we will buy next year and try this experience .. the village was very entertaining with pools , bars , ping pong . Shows and more ..

Family holiday with 2 parents and a 3 year old. We booked one of the premium cabins and it was really modern & clean. The pool facilities were great! Well looked after, the indoor pools were perfect for Zoe, she would easily spend 90 mins in there with us. She loved the playgrounds & the bubbles room too. Restaurant food was top class, wouldn’t have expected that standard in a holiday village. You must eat there 😋

Whoever is writing the latest reviews saying this place is good has to be getting paid.. Horrible site, the best thing about it is the check in point after that it is like something from the twilight zone. We were put at the back of the site in the coldest, darkest spot (this was during quite season). The heaters in the rooms are old shabby, no heater in the main double room which is up against the trees and was rather damp. After day one, every evening we were greeted with a loverly smell for the sewers which was never dealt with. The pool even the kids did not want to go into it after their first visit, playground, pitch n put areas were dirty and very run down. The washing machine area is a mess machines take money then they dont work, and you have to go to reception to get a number for the company to ring to get refunded...All in all tis a horrible site, the only good thing going for it is the restaurant.. It does not feel right or safe

The location is great as a base to discover the local area. The accommodation was roomy, we had a 3 bed mobile home. The indoor pool was OK but not a lot for older kids. However the pool had lots of Halloween decorations and tricks which they enjoyed. Our only disappointment was the service at the bar. We knew enough french to know certain staff would say to other staff they were not serving the English people. We were also ignored and treated like 2nd class often being served after others who had arrived well after us. Its a shame because otherwise it was a good holiday.
