Fantastic wines, beautiful cave and excellent wine tasting by a very nice woman.
The Xavier VIGNON tasting room is an absolute gem of the Rhone Valley hidden in picturesque Beaumes-de-Venise village. Estelle, the wine tourism manager at the shop, graciously opened outside of standard hours for us (with an advance arrangement) to accommodate our travel schedule, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Those familiar with Xavier VIGNON wines will know they are in for a spectacular tour of creative flavor across the villages of the Rhone region, and the shop has every bottle that is still available to buy (many of which are limited releases). Estelle was extremely knowledgeable about the flavors and technical production process of each wine, and also produced pictures and stories of some of the more eccentric aspects of Xavier VIGNON's creative experiments - like fermenting in giant glass bulbs, or a giant barrel with slots for other barrels inside! The wines are of amazing quality and uniqueness, and the passion of the staff who produce them is clear from the hospitality at the shop. Truly a top notch experience that we will be back for again!
A charming and welcoming wine shop! Enjoy a wine tasting or pick up a picnic basket with wine and delicious treats to enjoy among the vineyards, such a nice idea! The staff are super friendly and the wines are absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
Xavier’s boutique offers excellent wine, and whenever we visit the region, we make sure to buy some packs. The salesperson, Manon, was fantastic and guided us perfectly. However, we were disappointed by the salesperson we encountered in spring 2025 she was not very welcoming to people of colour.
We enjoyed a wine tasting with several different wines. The young and energetic team have great knowledge and gave us a good explanation of the different varieties in wines. The chateau neuf du pape white and the Beaume du Venice red were definitely our favourites. Thanks again for your time and knowledge and we hope to see you again next year. Cheers.
This was our second visit and like last year it was fabulous. Thank you for a marvelous experience to Estelle. She was so nice and helpful, very patient with us and showed us a great selection of wines to really get to know the region and the work of Xavier Vignon. The shop is beautifully designed, the service is perfect and the wines are to die for. Can't wait to visit again!
Brilliant tasting with Marion. she was very friendly and knowledgeable and opened some brilliant wines for us. For educational purposes a visit to this shop is an absolute must as they have such a wide range of wines from all over the region.
Centrally located in a traditional village house, this is the must-go wine shop in Beaumes-de-Venise. It is simply but beautifully decorated which gives the products for sale the perfect stage to shine. Of course, there is a wide choice of wines to choose from, including the famous Muscat, that are either made by Xavier Vignon or other winemakers. Adding to that, there is also a selection of local produces to eat such as jams, and veggies or meat spreads that get very well along with the first bottle of rosé of the evening. Staffers who sound to be locals are knowledgeable in wine-making and œunology, and amicable. I walked in Xavier Vignon's on my way to a friend's party. A young lady showed me around and told me the basics. I made up my mind quickly and picked a bottle of Vacqueyras, a dark Rosé whose grapes are harvested between Beaumes and Vacqueyras. You can't get any more local than that.
