LECLERC DENIS

Being a holiday destination town, supermarkets are geared up for the tourists with particular products like beer and regional "gifts" in prominent places. However, although being the largest supermarket near the town centre, the aisles are very short, meaning people meander between them and there are many blocked pathways and there is limited flow. Many of the "non-tourist items" are found around the edges of the shop and not always in the most logical places, for example, sliced bread is in the opposite corner to the in-store bakery, selling baguettes, crepes and fancy cakes, which doesn't really make sense. Oh, and the butter "section", it's bigger than the breakfast cereal aisle. Well, you are just south of Brittany. If you want a more pleasant shopping experience, go at around 16h00 when the locals (mostly old people) and tourists are not there.

Has everything, good prices, good products. Clean and friendly staff

I cant put into words how good these supermarkets are. You have to visit to appreciate the standard. UK supermarkets could learn a lot. Shopping here is a pleasure not a chore.

Ordered on Leclerc Drive at 9am on Saturday morning and picked up my shopping at 12.30 the same day. No missing items and all good except a pack of apples which were a bit bruised.

My God the French know how to do supermarkets! Wide aisles, a lovely cafe and fresh vegetables to die for. Wake up Sainsbury's etc al. To be fair, land is cheaper in France. But still.

Large choice of fresh products, including meat, at moderate prices; furniture and dry food, wine and alcohols. The refurbishment is finished, and very userfriendly! E.g. now tickets instead of queuing at the charcuterie-traiteur, cheese both in self service and at the weight with staff... Very helpful staff to find the product your are looking for in this huge store. Parking lot is tremendous.

Big hypermarket where you can buy everything and anything! It’s the centrepiece of a large complex with other shops. Really enjoyed going there to stock up my food cupboards at home with French treats!

Very nice place, we were here on holiday at the camping capfun madrague. The camping was not too good that was a minus point. but the location was great. The town pornic is very nice nice terraces. Definitely recommended to go here once.
