LE BRIGAND GILLES

This is a legendary, grungy but cool pub. I have been drinking here over three decades and it remains true to it's origins as a quirky, alternative and cool place. Love this place, the atmosphere, and ambiance.

I don’t know if this place hates tourists or if they’re terrible at math but one has to be true. They attempted to drastically overcharge me whilst trying to cover the price on the card machine that I was tapping on. Avoid at all costs.

Not sure why there are so many rave reviews about this place. It’s very small, dark and crowded with young student-types but if you’re 20 and don’t mind the bar guys smoking inside right next to your table then it’s the place for you. Might be better in summer when you get to sit outside with the smokers instead. Basically if you don’t mind smoke it’s an ok place to have a Guinness .

Bar person tried to rip us off. Check what they are charging on the machine before you tap your card. Second time this has happened in the last 24 hours in Aix-en -Provence which is a shame.

Nice waitress, 2 big beers (means in countries except Austria 🇦🇹 and Germany 🇩🇪 0.4l 😂😂): 7€ That's really ok! Tables outside, nice atmosphere, young guests, metal/rock fans. Advisable!

Nice bar. Have various beers but mostly in the lighter end - only Guinness from the "interesting styles" 😋

Welcoming in the morning to watch the rugby when the Irish pubs failed to open. Good choice of drinks and a sound track from the 70s and 80s that had us singing along.
