Our stay was wonderful. The scenery is stunning, the chalets have everything a family needs, and the staff is very attentive. We will definitely be back! Wagner and Andreia

We so enjoyed staying here for 5 days in late June/early July. The kids loved the pool and all of the activities. It was very quiet with just a few other families visiting. We didn't realize the high season was later in July and would return then so we could enjoy all of the planned activities, restaurant, etc. Our gite worked well for 3 adults and 2 kids and we loved the outdoor terrace with its huge umbrella so we an be out there throughout the day. Don't miss the walk to the upper meadow for beautiful views and the perfect spot for a sunset picnic!

The place is a very large property with a number of small houses distributed over a large are in a heavily wooded area. The house are realtively large and comfortable but there is no air conditioning. The strange thing is that the bed linen and towels are not included in your RCI fees, so you either bring them with you or you rent them from the resort. Obvioulsy, you have to use the same towels and bed sheets for the duration. Some of the houses (11 B in particular, which is at the far eadge of the property) have no Wifi. Getting to the laundry room from one of the far away units can be challenging given the uneven terrain, lack of pavement, and total darkness at night (there are lights on the internal roads but during our stay they were turned off).

As this was an exchange, no money is actually provided to the resort. As a consequence, we needed to pay for operating expenses (electricity, water), tourist taxes and linen on arrival. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay. Our unit was located up the hill from the resort main area in the woodland surrounding the resort. It was quite, comfortable and with plenty of parking. There are lots of things to see in the surrounding areas and we were provided with extremely useful information on arrival.

Great resort in a remote area. Need a car to get anywhere- except the long walks through the countryside and picnic overseeing the fields and wonderful sunset. Lots of ruins on the property give it charm. Medevial villages, castles surround you and a further distance are prehistoric caves and art. Great area of France to explore. I would recommend this place and area to all who want adventure.

We were here the week before Easter. First of all the good bits. The area is beautiful, lots to see and do (but be prepared for lots of driving to get there, including to find any restaurants!) and the Domaine itself, if experienced at the right time, would be great. The units are a good size and private, with nice views. The bed was comfy and the shower pressure was great. On arrival we were given lots of helpful information.||However the units, although equipped with most of what you really need, are pretty basic and kitchen items are not good quality at all, The bread knife would hardly have sliced through butter....it was all a bit 'rickety' - including a diining chair. The kettle poured very badly and is a scalding risk. Two wine glasses were cracked and we took them to reception, they were never replaced. And a mug had a big crack and very old repair. ||And our unit cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Granted, I did request a unit which had not been used for some time if possible, due to pet allergies (and the Domaine accepts animals). But I did not expect one which was quite dusty (I wiped the surfaces on arrival), with smeared dirty windows and mirrors, really dirty joints in the bathroom (I cleaned off a small patch just to illustrate the point), mouldy shower curtain hem which I guess simply hadn't been washed at the end of last season. ||We had taken our own bedding including quilt and pillows, which given the general dusty feel of the unit was fortunate. We also paid for end of stay cleaning. I hope the next people found the apartment in better condition than we did.||I probably should have brought all this up at the time and requested a thorough clean (I did mention all points on their departure questionnaire) but to be honest I was a bit poorly and didn't have the energy nor the wish to be disturbed. But that doesn't change the fact that a unit should be clean for arrival. If outgoing guests do the cleaning, it should be inspected an

Very good and helpful owner. The property is also very nice but bear in mind that this is not a 4 star hotel. They charge for everything from pillows and bedding to soap/ shower gel to toilet paper. Coffee and tea are not included. The price is cheaper but they could up the price and include the basics. Overall it is still excellent value. Wifi is poor to non existence in 11B. They could use an extender.

My wife and I (and the dogs) had a wonderful vacation experience at Domaine de Gavaudun. Eric and his wife were wonderful hosts/managers and the location was a natural paradise with its woodland and prairie setting. The amenities are modern and offer guests a way to release and relax at the end of the day. The location is also very close to a myriad of wonderful and affordable gastronomic pearls with regard to restaurants. The area is also wonderful for medieval castles, vineyards and ancient cave paintings.
